Tldr; very satisfied! Fast good food. I was after a reasonably quick (Czech traditional) lunch as I had one hour to kill, waiting for a train. Among the pub/restaurants (hospoda), this one was the most bright (lights on) and welcoming. Three stars for the beer. This was Staropramen and it tasted a bit watery. (How come the Staropramen I buy in a supermarket tastes better? That was at least how I felt at that moment. Was there something wrong with me?) Three stars for the roasted duck. I ordered duck with cabbage and dumplings (see photo). In less than 10 minutes the duck was in front of me and ready to be devoured. Arrived around 7:30 - had a table and drinks without any wait. The restaurant was busy - not full but getting there. The waitress was friendly and efficient.
I had the duck confit with dumplings and cream sauce and cranberries. My companions had beef with dumplings in cream sauce, and a salad. Everything was excellent! The duck was so good! Fantastic spot for an authentic Czech experience! The price-quality ratio is perfect — great value for what you get. The portions are huge (we couldn’t even finish everything!), and the food arrived incredibly fast. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive experience.
