We were looking forward to trying this place but unfortunately the experience was subpar at best. We were surprised by the amount of good reviews, perhaps we were just unlucky. You have to charge a card that you then use to get your wines from a fridge device. A lot of the wine bottles were empty and were not being restocked regularly. We ordered meat plate, after over an hour wait we checked in with the staff who gave odd halfway apologies and could not seem to resolve the issues. Had to ask for money back, which could not be returned via a card and required a cash exchange. The exchange required change from our side (5CZK) which I found bizarre considering the wait. We did receive a tiny bowl of nuts as an apology which just added to the bizarreness of it all. At the end, when you return the card you get a cash refund for the card, but whatever money was left on the card you will not get back. They tell you that you have 90 days to come back and use it, which I suppose is a good marketing strategy but personally I’d never visit again after such experience so I just left it. Considering how many wine bars there are in Prague with more character and nicer...
Read moreI wanted to enjoy some wine and found this place through Google maps. They have over 50 different wines you can try and the system they use is neat. You load a card and then use the card to get your wine at the freezers they have. They have three sizes to choose from. The first is enough for a couple sips, enough to get a good idea about the wine (this averages about a Euro). The next size is about .06L, somewhere between the sipping size and a .15l pour (average is about 3-4 Euro). The last size is a normal glass pour in Czech which runs about 6-8 Euro. Many of the prices vary depending on the age of the wine, the most expensive one I saw for a glass was about 14 Euro.
The service here was amazing and the staff explained the system very well. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will return the next time I...
Read moreWe had a table reserved via "get your guide" and we found the restaurant to be very well organised (giving the people who get there to taste wine written recommendations so they have the freedom to taste the wines they'd like but still provide guidance). While we did not eat, we tasted wine for two hours. The personell was extremely kind and guided us (as people who like but do not know a lot about wine) through the tasting as we asked. If we are ever in Prague again I would...
