Seated immediately by lovely staff dressed in cute Halloween costumes. Loved facing the fiery oven and being able to watch the pizza magic happen (even though I can't eat pizza). Had a delicious glass of wine (though it was not my first choice, montepulciano, which was unavailable). The tomatoes in the caprese were pretty flavorless. The mozzarella was fresh. The olive oil was bland. The basil looked a bit old. The dish was not seasoned with salt or pepper. I just added table salt and crushed red pepper flakes...the salt seemed likely to be iodized rather than sea salt, and the crushed red pepper flakes had no soul or bite to them. This was one of the only dishes on the menu that I was able to eat, and it left me unimpressed. I wish restaurants would pay as much attention to their appetizers and side dishes as they do to their main courses for the sake of people who are joining friends who are able to enjoy the main offerings on a menu. As a person with food sensitivities, I'm often left feeling disappointed in the options available to me, and when those options prove to be ridiculously overpriced and unimpressive, I am less inclined to recommend the venue to friends who can actually eat everything else on the menu. I'd like to be able to join my friends at a place they'd find enjoyable...but not at the risk of being unable to enjoy myself. I was famished, as it was my first meal of the day (at 5:30pm) and I was getting ready to perform so I needed sustenance. Also, this was my first time here, and I was invited by friends who ended up paying for my meal. Still...there is no reason for a dish as simple as a caprese salad to be uninspiring and just plain meh.

I don’t usually give a restaurant 5 stars the first time out but this place really hits the mark. My boyfriend and I are both gluten free and we took a friend who isn’t. By the way, our friend wasn’t keen on having pizza for dinner because “pizza is a snack not a meal”. The pizza is excellent. Our friend walked away amazed and happy. It’s located in the heart of the downtown area off Montague on Hicks street. The location is awesome because you are just steps away from the promenade. At least for now the promenade is still in tact. They’re talking about building now roadway there which would be sad. In any event, back to the restaurant. The atmosphere is basic but highly welcoming. The service staff is really attentive and there are so many pizza options. And the gluten free pies were really great. I don’t think you could tell the difference. The arugula white pic is the one I had. My boyfriend had the margarita. And our friend had a regular crust with sausage. We shared a bottle of Barbera. It was heavier than a Pinot noir but lighter than a cab. This place had the total package for us.

This place is an absolute winner. Good food and cocktails. Energetic atmosphere. Outstanding staff! CeeCee greeted us when we arrived. She was truly a wonderful hostess who radiated positive energy immediately. Although the place was packed, she assured us that we would get a table in a timely matter, which we did. Throughout our dinner, CeeCee kept checking in on us to assure that we were enjoying ourselves. A real gem! The bartender Christina was excellent as well. Her drinks were very good and she was super friendly. Our server Sabastian was one of the best servers that I have ever encountered. It was obvious that excellence is what he strives for on a regular basis and quality is the result. He is a true winner in every sense of the word....totally leaning into everything he does with his best self. He was professional, helpful, personable, interesting, charismatic, really nice and genuine. A true Rock Star! The staff really made this dining experience wonderful and the main reason I would return. We will definitely be back!

Dellaroccos has a classy ambiance and fun pizza flavors, and even though the pizza style isnt my personal favorite id be happy to visit again. We had the raddichio salad which was a delicious combination, and paired perfectly with the pizzas. I like eating it alongside the pizza rather than as an appetizer. The monalizza pizza was good and I like the hot honey. I normally dont like super sweet pizzas but it was well done and balanced with spice. The sicilliana was also good. The pizzas here are doughy and pretty soft, though the crust is crispy. This means the bottom gets soggy fast when eating. I prefer a slightly crispier pizza that flops less when held in the air. I would also love to see another hot honey pizza maybe with a different combo and make it vegetarian (love a trendy pizza!) The service was great here. We came on the later side on saturday night with no wait for two people. Theres better pizza spots in NYC of course, but for brooklyn heights pizza this hits the spot

I recently visited Dellarocco's and I must say, the pizzas were absolutely delicious! I had both the dine-in and delivery experience and both times the pizzas arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was enjoyable. The restaurant itself is very cozy and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. One thing that really impressed me was the variety of pizza flavors available. They offer a wide range of options that cater to different tastes, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. It's great to see a restaurant that is able to accommodate different dietary restrictions. Overall, I highly recommend Dellarocco's. The pizzas are top-notch, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is just right. Whether you're looking for a night out or a tasty meal at home, this place has got you covered.

Hello ! Today I had a Dellarocco’s pizza at 214 Hicks St. It was SOOOO TASTY and SOOO ‘NOT JUNK KIND OF’ pizza - without being oily! Also, their staff were REALLY friendly and nice! (All of them were smiling at me( like a real smile you know? It’s not easy to get a real smile from servers nowadays lol , one guy helped me to tie the pizza box to my bike bc otherwise I couldn’t take it with me) Price-wise it was okay as well bc the pizza i had (Lei Vegan Pizza) was really tasty and was a good quality. I even had a Vegan cheese on it 💗 Oh, I forgot to mention that I’m vegan and I’m always looking for some decent restaurants to try nice food (quality-wise) Long story short I’m so happy with my dinner lol
