Burger BOOM Aalborg — Restaurant in Aalborg Municipality

Ate at Burger Boom twice during my 6-day stay in Aalborg, and both visits were solid. I tried the spicy chicken burger and the regular beef burger—both were good, but the chicken stood out more for me. Crispy, well-seasoned, and not too greasy. You could tell it was made fresh, not pulled from a freezer.

The food overall was tasty, portions were just right, and prices were fair for the quality. Nothing felt overpriced or overly complicated—just straightforward, good burgers done properly.

Staff were genuinely nice on both visits (one even came to tell me she wasn’t sure the burger was well done!) —friendly, helpful, and quick to serve even during the lunch rush. The place was clean and well managed.

I didn’t stay in the city long enough to try every burger place, but I did visit some of the most recommended ones, and based on my experience, this place makes the best burgers in town. There’s nothing particularly unique or groundbreaking about the burgers, but they are decent, really tasty, and have that reliable quality that makes you want to come back. The real standout for me wasn’t even the burger in Burger Boom, it was the sweet potato fries. Calling them the best sweet potato I’ve ever had wouldn’t be enough. Honestly, it might be one of the best sides I’ve ever had with a burger. The texture, flavor, seasoning, and the touch of fresh thyme on top… absolutely incredible. Probably the best burger in Aalborg 😍 I would recommend going for lunch, since that's more the vibe they're going for in the dining hall (Californian style, they do have table service but it's not the warm and cosy vibe you're looking for when you're going out for dinner). They have a lunch offer at 79kr for a selection of buger (including the Beyond Burger 💚🌍) with fries, unlimited dips and soda. Don't be afraid of the estragon dip, it's the best 😋 The meat is excellent, the burgers are well made (she makes them on the spot, one order at a time) and the fries are really cute with some parmesan/garlic topping and tyme on top. The burgers are the best I've tried in Aalborg, I just wish that they had another venue with a more "burger/bar"...
