Second time visiting here, had a Podi Masala Dosa and Paneer "65" this time. While it was more of a home-made than a restaurant style Dosa, it was about as good as I can reasonably expect from a place in Aalborg. Coming from me, that is a lot, since I'm so stereotypically south Indian that my friends are convinced I must have sambar running through my veins. But Paneer "65" was a whole different story. The menu says that it is tossed in some spices, but it turns out it is actually deep-fried in a batter. That makes it just a Paneer Pakoda, rather than what it is claiming to be (also, no tossing in any kind of spices). Would be nice if the description on the menu actually matched with the item being served. (I definitely would have ordered something else if I'd known it was actually a pakoda) I think they don't really do a good job of paneer in general, since a previous experience here with a paneer masala was quite lackluster too. It is also kind of ridiculous that you cannot order a "curry" without the accompanying rice, so you can't really eat it with a chapati or paratha, without leaving that rice to go to waste. Which makes me wonder why the chapati and paratha are even on the menu in the first place, since there's no possible way someone is going order them without any accompaniments.

Editing my review after owners response : After seeing the owner's response claiming I never visited Dinehut, I’m attaching proof of my payment — a receipt of 644 kr from my visit on 15th September. Dear owner, this is not how you handle negative feedback. Instead of addressing my concerns, you chose to deny that I was ever there. The food served was labeled as "Indian," but it didn’t taste Indian at all. What you called biryani was far from authentic — we could barely eat it. As for the service: one staff member was okay, but the other was outright rude. The food was handed over with an attitude like, “Here, take it if you want.” After paying, I said thank you — the staff didn’t even acknowledge it. That kind of behavior is not acceptable in any hospitality setting. If you truly care about your restaurant's reputation, consider improving both your food and customer service — and take honest feedback seriously instead of dismissing it. And I’m not the only one who had a bad experience. I recommend you take a look at other comments and feedback as well. It seems the owner often gets offended by criticism instead of learning from it.

Before booking a table here, I quickly checked the reviews and was excited to taste a good curry. On arrival, the welcome was ok and starters were served on time. Waiting for main course took around 45mn, and only because we mentioned it. I would understand if the restaurant was busy, but it was not. Several table were free, and the waitress kept on snacking on a piece of bread every 10mn behind the bar. When our food arrived, one dish was good, but the Tikka masala was watered down, so not texture or flavour. We left half of the food, paid and left. It is fine for the Tikka Masala to be a bit watery, but not to the extent flavours are lost.

Hi Indian Guys,

Want to share a very bad experience with this restraunt staff.

First of all the food quantity is very very less, you cant eat idli with half very small bowl of sambar. We i requested to give sufficient amount of sambar in the start they refused very rudely.

The restraunt runs by shri-lankans and they are they mentioned Indian restraunt on their menu card.

I have not had the food beacuse sambar was too littel to eat 4 idlis, i said i am not going to pay for the food beacuse i was not satisfied at all, then i said whom to request so that the person can listen me, then staff (cook and waiter) said talk to the owner of the restraunt, i said give me his contact number then they threatend me and said that we will call the police now, i replied that i will calk the police beacuse i am getting harassed and threatned by them. I call the police on phone, poile said no need to worry no one hurt you and he saud if restraunt owner is calling to the police let them call.

They missehaved with wife also.

I was with my family we went there to have a food not to do fight....

please please please don't go to this restraunt... Staff members are not at at all a...
