Tipsy — Restaurant in Aarhus Municipality

Do not come. Place was understaffed, however the workers who were there were awful. We came in and immediately we saw one of the waiters drop silverware. We ordered our food and had to wait 30 minutes for food to arrive. FYI (you have to go up to the front and order the food yourself AND pay before you get your food) after waiting for so long, we received 5/7 orders and 2/5 of the plates came broken. When we asked to changed the plates, the other waitress was very annoyed and came with a attitude. Then 2 drinks were brought and one was spilled on one of the people with us. Again, awful customer service. A while of time has passed by and still 2 of us haven’t received our food so we went up to ask when the food was going to be ready. What happened was they didn’t take the order and refused to take responsibility over being in the wrong. In the end, when we we’re finished, we went up to tell them about the awful service they gave us and instead of a apology in a understanding manner, they started arguing with us AGAIN telling us that they were giving us the service they get paid for (as if it’s our problem) when we asked for the manager, the manager was not present in the restaurant and had to be called and they did not pick up. We also had to end up paying AGAIN for the 2 orders that THEY did not take when we initially ordered. Awful service, no decency. Save your time, find...

Tipsy provides a completely vegetarian menu full of Mexican dishes + typical bar snack sides and a good selection of drinks. We loved their lemonades and their peach cocktail especially.

Our group considered of several conscientious meat eaters, but none of us were disappointed with any flavours of the food. It was all absolutely delicious, flavourful and crunchy. We tried many of their tacos and the birria and “shrimpy” tacos stood out as absolutely delicious.

I was also pleasantly surprised by their cheesy fries. I normally find cheesy fries soggy and unnecessary, but these were crispy, saucy and fresh and really delightful.

The place is a bit small, but they have a nice selection of board games. The service workers are so nice (we saw them offer a delivery driver a drink or a snack, so sweet!), but their is no table service and it takes a little while for the food to get to your table.

Nice enough place with a standard selection of Tex-mex like food items. We went during the opening week which was busy, which is of course great, but that also meant that they forgot about the customized part of our menu; no mayo and no onion, yet our quesadillas had both. This is an honest mistake, it's fine. What is not an honest mistake is to sell “guacamole” dip when it is only mashed up avocado. I’m pretty sure if Tipsy looks up the definition of guacamole they’ll find it contains, besides the avocado, lemon or lime juice, onion and tomato at a minimum.
