Really loved going here! Although I wasn’t 100% sure if it was open I took my chance and they were just a bit quiet at the time but after I was eating my meal it definitely got busier which I’m actually happy about because these guys deserve to be busy all hours!
It’s a nice cozy layout with hints of traditional Japanese decoration and style. Dishes and cutlery were also traditional and added to the atmosphere. Service was good and well timed but the best part was that you could tell the sushi had been made not even 2 minutes ago it was FRESH! The tempura coating had great crunch and the rice was cooked perfectly and still soft. I ordered the preselected meal option for 1 and got the second option and it was plenty and I was starving but felt very full afterwards! I also enjoyed a Japanese (senchu?) tea throughout the meal which was a nice cleanser. I will say that some of the pieces had a bit of spice and kick so if you really can’t handle spice I’d recommend just ordering from the normal menu.

Read moreSuperb Japanese restaurant! Cozy and comfortable decor with soft background music, well fitting with the small private enclave-like spaces. Very courteous and accommodating service.
Now to the food. Compliments to the chef who, in my opinion, demonstrates the depth of understanding in tastful Japanese food, at least in what they serve. The ingredients were fresh and high quality. The tuna on one of the maki sets was not a standard part of the fish but a special one - perhaps fatty tuna (?). What sets this restaurant apart from other sushi restaurants in Aarhus (and beyond in Europe, among many I've been to, is the sauces - for the gyoza and for sushi, and likely for other items. Found out that they make their own, perhaps from commercially available ingredients. Their soy based sauces have softened saltiness (than typical soy sauces) with added flavors (some combo of water, vinegar, fruit juice,...) that really bring out the the main without overpowering them! Even the wasabi had a softer and added taste that enhanced the taste...

Read moreHands down, the best Sushis I ever had in the last 30 years! And I am not kidding!! In 30 YEARS!! That’s gotta count something! The portions are 25% bigger than what I have gotten in other Restaurants, including Copenhagen and Helsingør, Malmø, Dubai, Manila, Cebu and Iloilo.
Today’s Chef’s menu! I ordered the Fish Miso Soup - 5 stars! Followed by Japanese Dumplings, paired with small springrolls as Starters - again 5 stars. Very savory! Followed by the mains from the Today’s Chef’s Menu including my special order of 10 Nigiris. Thank you Great Sushi Chef, for the added items!
My visit at Springtime in Aarhus (27/08/25) I won’t ever forget! This is the place where you can enjoy fresh and very soft rice and uhhh… that fish just melts in my mouth! It’s like an explosion of party inside! I’m definitely coming back soon.
This place is marvelous! Highly recommended for...
