Unfortunately, the time has come to write my first ever 1-star review.
Lets start with the only positive, which is the lady owning the place - kind hearted, friendly.
Despite 45 min wait time for getting some water, this is not the reason for me to deduct a star or even write a review.
Sitting next to the open kitchen, was a disaster. I wish I wouldnt have seen that and not sit here writing this review with a dull stomach.
The owner / chef cook licks his fingers after every single move he makes, touches the food, runs his hands through his hair, shakes hands with guests, and back to handling the ingredients. Meat is cut where just seconds beforehand raw fish was prepared.
We don‘t really know why we kept eating 4 of 5 courses, but we didnt make it to 5th one.
After witnessing all of the above and feeling close to a heart attack, no worries, relief is on the way! A cute big dog comes trotting straight out of the kitchen to greet you. Adorable, yes, but definitely coming from the wrong place. Well, he got send back quickly to a room where they store their wine. Moments later the other waitress throws a left over piece of meat directly from a plate into his mouth, which I felt a bit unfitting move when a tapas-sized dish costs 200dkk. But maybe this is just me.
So now the chef cook comes back from a quite long cigarette break. Immediately back to work, not washing the hands once the entire evening. I watched him preparing a dessert (potentially ours) as he tasted a spoonful, then casually tossed the used spoon back into the main dessert bowl from which he filled the plates. I had noticed this earlier and assumed (hoped) he was throwing them into a sink. Curiosity got the better of me - I checked - he wasn’t.
At that point, we were done. We canceled the desert and asked for the check. The waitress seemed nervous, asked why, and after a quick alignment with the chef, returned with an excuse about some disinfection spray he used. An audacious lie, considering I had just watched him season the dessert with his own saliva.
We didn‘t have to pay for drinks. Left the place and will never return.
If you are looking for a good evening, make sure you don‘t have a view on the kitchen or better go...
Read moreI'm speechless. The food was OUTSTANDING. We had the 5 course menu. The king sashimi and the langoustine were my favorites, but they delivered on all the dishes. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. I cannot recommend this place...
