Finally we got Pure vegetarian and vegan food, satvik, very delicious, freshly prepared and at a very reasonable price in Copenhagen, it was amazing.
We are here for a few days to attend a conference and we ate a few times at a few other Indian restaurants but the food was not good, we were not getting satisfied.
Finally yesterday we got so tasty, satvik / pure vegetarian/ vegan food which not only satisfied the body but also mind.
One of my friends requested additional Daal and even curd, which was very courteously provided to him and the restaurant's owner did not charge extra for that !
Food here is really the Prasad of Sri Krishna, which we get to receive while hearing the holy chant of Hare Krishna, Hare Rama mantra.
This quality, taste and purity is rare even at many places in India. In Bangalore too I don't find such food everywhere, so it is truly exceptional to have it in Copenhagen.
Thank you very much for this service of serving pure vegetarian / Vaishvava food as Prasad of Sri Krishna!

Read moreI had known this place from Too Good to Go as one of my favourites - and decided to dine in with a few vegetarian friends who were visiting CPH. 😊 While the menu is simple (choosing the size of the dish rather than choosing between many different dishes) we all very much enjoyed the home-cooked-style meal and also very much enjoyed the cozy feeling of being-at-someone’s-home atmosphere. The service was outstanding despite it getting super busy with the take-outs in the evening. We had a very relaxing evening with great vegetarian food. ❤️
Definitely NOT a place for meat-lovers and people who prefer the monotonous Scandinavian-interior-design places you usually get in the city. 😉 Also, I loved the fact that there is no overwhelming menu to choose from - but if you go out and expect a lot of options, then this might...
Read moreI have been in Copenhagen for a month now and i love to explore different Indian restaurants here. Liked almost all of them but fell in love with Govinda. Being a vegetarian south india, the food here was just awesome for my palate and my stomach. All the other places try to make food a lot spicier and me being fond of spice couldn't eat daily in those places. At Govinda, i had dinner everyday for a week. The taste is very homely, portions are right, ambience is good and icing on the cake are the awesome hosts, nothing over the top; feels like family. Though the menu is small, only vegetarian (not that i complain) the taste and the overall experience makes it up for it. PS: Don't miss their delicacy called 'Kugleguf' with carob powder. Leaving today from Copenhagen with a promise to visit this place again. Definitely...
