Restaurant Flammen - Nyropsgade — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Do not ever go here!! I would give less if I could. We went to this place twice, the first time we got there and they started to seat us. While we were being seated someone from the behind counter said something to the hostess. She then stopped in her tracks and said they couldn't seat us because they were closing. ??? It was 8:30 PM /20:30 and the website and the sign on the door said they close at 10:00 PM /22:00 . So I asked what time they close she stutters and said we only had one and a half hours to eat. So I looked at her strangely and said that would be plenty of time. So she reluctantly sat us. We sat there for a few minutes waiting for someone to come get our drink order or something. But nothing. My wife went to the counter to ask what there process was. A lady in line nicely explained that it is more of a buffet and we pay afterwards. So okay we went to get something from the buffet. Then halfway through our meal nobody came to offer drinks. So we ask someone seated at another table how we were supposed to get beverages. They said someone was supposed to come and get our drink order. Still nothing. The nice couple went to pay and said something to the staff. They then can and brought something to drink for us. We we're very offended by the whole experience.

We then thought maybe it was just a weird fluke thing. So we thought we would give it another try another day. So we did. The hostess greeted us when we spoke and said 3 please the hostess informed us they had no open tables. They had more open tables than full tables. We just left. I felt very offended and...

A big, all-you-can-eat feed. Good value. Many meats to choose from, some better than other (wild boar had maybe sat under the lamp for a while and was dry, as had the sausages) Excellent salad selection with unusual mixture (feta and melon with leaves and balsamic was a winner. Crispy beetroot and parsnip shavings with leaves was also very interesting) Good selection of potato dishes to accompany. Mac and cheese was alkost as good as Helen's (high praise indeed!) Too stuffed for desert, which wasn't elaborate anyway. So, a plate of the fruits from the salad bar (melon, pineapple and blueberries) sufficed with a couple of slices of fresh bread. Service was pleasant enough though a little slow to clear the dirty plates, which I had to take to the bar so as to be able to eat the second of my four plates! Well...

I had been to the old Flammen that was at H.C Andersens boulevard and that was really good ao my expectations was that it would be the same. But i felt like the buffet waa in an area that was far too small for the amount of people that can be seated at the restaurant. We were seated quickly which was nice and service was kind and smiling. Buffet was a long line due to it being so small and generally i thought the meat buffet was good but for the carbs and salad it was quite uninteresting. It took a long time for me to be able to pay since we had to go up to the cashier and the guy before me had a special request. I asked 2 other girls/waitresses if they could assist but they said only the one cashier...
