We were looking for an Italian restaurant and stumbled upon this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the inviting atmosphere and attentive staff set the tone for a pleasant evening. The staff’s Italian speech and gestures added an authentic touch to the experience, making us feel like we had stepped into a little corner of Italy.
One of the highlights of the evening was our seating arrangement—we were placed in front of a glass window that offered a direct view into the kitchen. Watching the chefs at work added an exciting and dynamic element to the dining experience, making it not just about the food but also about the craft behind it.
For our meal, we ordered the vitello tonnato, tagliolini with scampi and prawns, and linguini with an assortment of seafood. The portions were generous, and the seafood—especially the fish and lobster—was plentiful, which was a pleasant surprise. While the flavors were good, they didn’t quite reach the level of an unforgettable culinary explosion. That being said, the magnitude of the portion size and shellfish amounts were undeniable.
The wine selection was lovely, and as a kind gesture, the staff offered us the last of a bottle to enjoy. Small details like this, along with their assistance with our jackets and the warm farewell, made the service truly stand out.
Overall, this was a solid dining experience—good food, excellent service, and a cozy, authentic ambiance. While the flavors didn’t completely blow us away, the restaurant still provided a great evening, and we would...
Read moreWe had dinner at La Rocca through the Timeleft app, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable evening. Sebastien, our server, was attentive and friendly, and helped make the experience feel smooth from start to finish.
I ordered a half bottle of La Rocca’s recommended house red, which was quite nice — smooth, dry, and tasty. I can't remember the label but I enjoyed it.
For the main course, I went with the Pappardelle all’uovo — homemade pappardelle with beef tenderloin, porcini mushrooms, and truffle flakes. The portion was just right, and it was served the way you'd expect in Italy: simply but with great ingredients and proper balance. The pasta had a nice bite, the beef was tender, and the porcini-truffle combination added depth without overpowering the dish.
The dessert menu was impressive — extensive, beautifully presented, and hard to choose from. One of the highlights was that they make the tiramisu fresh at the table, which added a fun and interactive touch. A few people at our table went for it, and it looked (and smelled) amazing. After a bit of back-and-forth, I went with the Ferrero Rocher tart, and I’m glad I did — it was rich, well-balanced, and had that classic hazelnut-chocolate combo done right.
All in all, La Rocca delivered a solid, well-rounded dinner experience. The food, wine, and service all came together nicely. I’d definitely...
Read moreHad great expectations to this place with a good rating at Google. Unfortunatly not so. Bad first impression when we had to scan QR-code to read the menu on our phones. Not something I want when visiting places with white tablecloth. Food was fast and waiter friendly, but food was bland and missed the finishing touch. Started with shrimp salad. Nothing much to write about. Most people could do this in 20 minutes at home. Shrimps were cooked right, but boring salad with odd sized pieces of greens. Big sized portion, but rather have small portion made with dedication. Next up was pappardelle with beef tenderloin, porcini and truffle flakes. Again a sizeable portion, but lack of flavour. Beef was tender. Porcnini was unnoticable. Truffels was from pickled jar and lumped together. No taste or flavour. Ended the meal with tiramisu. Was made at the table for some wow-reason I don't understand. How's the flavour to be soaked up?? Presentation was not like photo in menu. Mascarpone tasted of whipped cream and no egg. Zabaglione cream as stated in menu seemed to be missing. Wine servings were generous, but wont't...
