Café Munk — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Staff was terribly unpleasant. There was a company of 15 ahead of us, and although I understand it was a lot of work for the staff that was present, I was refused when I asked if I could order a slice of cake (which was ready to be served) in the meantime. I was at that point so hungry that I was in pain. When we were finally allowed to order, the waiter rudely asked why I ordered what I wanted instead of what he thought I should be eating.

When the drinks started arriving at my company's table, my drink – a mango lassi which was included with the food I ordered – was nowhere to be seen and we had to go and ask for them. Those mango lassis were half the size of the regular ones.

The food was alright, although on the bland side, which is an odd thing for Indian food. There were also eggshells left in my "spicy" eggs, something hard and unidentifiable in my naan. Also, my plate lacked the strawberries that were included on my seating neighbor's...

I had a great experience at Cafe Munk and I can't help but share my positive feedback. First and foremost, the staff here is exceptional, especially Karim. Their friendly and attentive service made me feel truly welcome from the moment I walked in.

One thing that sets Cafe Munk apart is its hyggeligt atmosphere. It's cozy, inviting, and perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal or catching up with friends. The ambience adds a touch of warmth that enhances the overall dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the prices. Cafe Munk offers incredibly honest prices that are truly refreshing. I regret spending 20+ minutes trying to find something decent in that giant rip-off that TorvehallerneKBH is, without having to burn my children's college fund. Luckily, just a few meters away, there was this place...

I am quite a critic of Indian food but this one here is the probably the best I've been to. The bread.. Oh that soft flat see through bread or chapati according to the restaurant soaked up all the veal sauce. Wish they only had a menu of bread and butter chicken. The ambiance was great and cosy. The waiter was friendly and attentive to detail. The chai latte was the best I've had (sue me Starbucks!). Best sweet potato I've had too. Not the soggy ones you find in most restaurants. This one was crispy on the inside and soft on the inside. Just the way I like it 😉Only thing was the price but I guess quality has no price!...
