I went to this restaurant with my partner, and another couple.
We were told the kitchen closed in 30 minutes, which was fine as we wanted to be quick. This was told by a blonde waitress who was sassy and rude. It quickly became clear she wanted us to leave as it was near closing time and were were inconveniencing her.
We received our food quickly, which was great and the food was nice. After an hour we wanted to pay, they never came to our table so we went to pay at the bar. This was strange as we were the only table I there.
At the bar, they told us the card machine was not working. They said to wait until the manager comes with a card machine from a different restaurant. We stood there for over 30 minutes waiting to pay. We were told we were not allowed to leave until the manager arrived with the machine. The blonde lady said she would call the manager, yet we were stood there for a considerable amount of time as the staff polished glasses and gave us no update.
She called the manager and said he would be around 5 minutes. He never arrived. After some time, the blonde lady rang the manager. I asked where he was as we were stood their for along time and wanted to go she told us that she wants to go home too
A manager from our neighbouring hotel came over to settle the situation and send the bill to our room. The staff were dismissive and condescending, and by the end we just wanted to get out of there! I would not recommend!! The staff were getting frustrated with is as if we were in the wrong although the issue was on them. After all that time they offered us a free shot, which we...
Read moreAfter 5 years in Spain, I was missing the tastes of Catalunya. The place looked great to reconnect with the delicious Spanish food. But we were disappointed with the tapas menu.
No jamon, the pan con tomate was only for the vegetarian group for some reason (pan con tomate is the base!!), the tortilla was missing the real tortilla taste... The biggest surprise was the dessert. We thought, maybe dessert will be a crema catalana? We saw arrive a glass filled with white cream, and thought "ah, Pana Cotta... Or yoghurt con miel?" But then, plot twist, the waiter announces "Crema Catalana"... No caramelized top, it has pieces of fruits inside, the white cream makes me doubt eggs were used... When challenged, the waiter did not know what a real crema catalana was. Makes me wonder, did we get the right dessert? It was good - but no way this was what we were told. Beer selection really poor. The food was not bad. But I could not find the Barcelona taste I am missing.
The lamb was tasty, the shrimps great (but like everything, small portions), the outside terrace very nice, and the staff is friendly and attentive...
Read moreWe went for a new years dinner, package of five courses was around 900 DKK including a welcome drink. The food was in general acceptable, but lacked the flavours we came for, being a restaurant that specialises in tapas and pinxtos. For 900 dkk, a five course meal should also be quite outstanding, as you could get a new years package at a lot of highly praised restaurants for this price range. It was a mix of bland and uninspired classical bistro food from any generic restaurant leaning on French cuisine. The third course was literally a drink, none of us understood the intention of this. If the service was good, we would probably leave the restaurant accepting that this is just a meal we wouldn’t remember, but sadly the service was absolutely atrocious: the served us the wrong courses twice, taking the plates away again and serving them to other customers. Upon payment, we were met by an incredibly rude manager, staring at us as if we were idiots when we were asking for the bill, and fuming with irritation towards his staff in front of us. This was the only available table in Copenhagen, and we quickly...
