Halifax — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Now I'm not the biggest burger fan, but I fancy one, it had better be fantastic. And was it ever!

Upon the recommendation of one of the staff member of the Steel House Hostel (which I DO NOT RECOMMEND - unless you want your padlock broken and personal stuff moved WITHOUT your permission and without any semblance of resolving the issue by discussing it...), I was NOT disappointed and very satisfied.

The choices are varied, but simple to choose from, the meat perfectly cooked, the hostesses a pleasure to deal with (sweet, friendly and offering excellent service - attentive but not too much!). The fries were fat and crisp -and slightly too salty, but DELICIOUS.

They even offered me a 20% discount coupon applicable to the entire bill and valid for my next visit.

We managed to slip in a bit before closing. One of those lovely meals right after landing that just starts a trip right! Our server was excellent, explaining everything in great detail and offering suggestions when we seemed uncertain.

The burgers themselves were absolutely wonderful! I loved my Zurich and my girlfriend got a chicken Berlin. The chicken is quite high quality. One is best chicken burgers we have ever had. The Zurich was very well designed burger and had a quite lovely flavor profile. I would recommend eating with knife and fork though.

My girlfriend is English and gave the vinegar fries her stamp of approval! Also the iced tea was very brisk and was as good as advertised....

Fancy slow service and cold burgers, then this is your choice. If on the other hand you are looking for gourmet burgers, don't come here. Went on a quiet Monday evening, the place was less than half full, but still the service was slow and inattentive. That is not to hold it against those actually working the shift, it could be just plain under staffing. But getting what was supposed to be a gourmet burger, turned out to be a cold bun, even colder blue cheese smearing (and way too much of it) with ice cold onions and sun dried tomatoes, all surrounding a grey roasted, luke warm, dry and unappealing beef burger.
