If you’re looking for authentic African cuisine that will leave you speechless, Sasaa is the place to be. I’ve had African food before, but nothing compares to what I experienced here. The flavors are vibrant, the spices are perfectly balanced, and the portions are generous. Their Jollof rice, served with tender, juicy chicken, is simply the best I’ve ever tasted – rich, smoky, and bursting with the kind of flavor that only comes from a deep understanding of traditional cooking techniques. Every bite transported me straight to West Africa, and the chicken was cooked to perfection, complementing the rice beautifully. Sasaa also offers an amazing selection of seafood, prepared with the same attention to detail and flavor. On top of that, their samosas are a must-try – crispy, flavorful, and filled with goodness. The atmosphere at Sasaa is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who are happy to guide you through the menu and make recommendations. It’s more than just a meal; it’s an experience that I’ll remember for a long time. If you want to taste the best African food in Denmark, look no further than Sasaa. It’s a hidden gem that deserves all the recognition for its incredible food and hospitality. I can’t...

A friend in my group is intolerant to some ingredients so we asked if there was something he could eat as simple as some rice alone with chicken but the staff was not very willing to help out at all. The only thing he was offered was plain bread with banana fries for the rest of the evening which is honestly a little bit embarrassing and not very inclusive to offer to a customer. At that point we were already sat down and served drinks so it would be rude to stand up and go somewhere else. The ones we could actually eat we did enjoy our food very much, it was very tasty but it took extremely long to arrive, like +30 mins. What's more, the bill came wrong with an item we ordered but never got served and with something that was never ordered. Even though our server was very sweet and apologetic and the food was great, the whole experience was way too messy and unprofessional. It left us with a bad aftertaste for the rest of evening, specially to the friend that was not able to eat.

*Edit for the owner: This occurred on Saturday the 11th of December at...

The owner and his wife are friends of my daughter and my son-n-law. The invite was extended at the wedding dinner reception. What I actually experienced was so far above the clouds of tastes, atmosphere, and pricing I’ve ever known!! This is by far no exaggeration. What an incredibly delicious, and wonderful tasting experience I’ve ever known in my 52 years of life on this Earth! Every delectable serving was…”chef’s kiss”! I could go on…from the appetizers to the FuFu…and accompanying drinks, but that’ll just spoil what’s in store for you & your palette! Sasaa will NOT disappoint you when/if you’re in Copenhagen on business or pleasure! They’re an ABSOLUTE MUST! My humble & sincere thanks to the owner & his wife. Your dishes were way more grounded, seasoned, and timely than the six years of being open that you mentioned. Your dishes had age, culture, and a delectable history in every bite! -...

First visit was excellent: The atmosphere was a lovely experience. Everything from the decorations to the paintings to the afrobeat playing in the background. The staff was lovely and kind. Food took forever to arrive, but all is prepared with love and authentic taste. Would definitely recommend coming here. Since it is a popular place, all seats seems to be reserved. Im not sure if they have drop in. The second visit was the last visit unfortunately, therefore it went down from 5 stars to 3. Service was ok, but they forgot about a dish, and took over 30min to get some tea, which we cancelled anyway because we didn’t want to wait any longer. And the food was warmed up in a microwave. It took literally 5-10 minutes to get the food this time. It was old and cold. I could notice the difference since the first time I ate there was amazing.
