El Behique Buffet Restaurant — Restaurant in Higüey

We are in a country Who live with tourism. The staff doesn't speak english. Nobody smiles. It's like they all hate their job. You ask for something it's like asking for their arm. You always feel like you are disturbing them. I am in restaurant service and if i would act the way they do, i would've lost my job on the spot. Placemat are never sent back to be washed. It's grotesque. The handle clean glasses with their fingers in the glass. I can't believe managers don't see that. Food is ok. No big deal. Meat is hard like à rock. They use the worst quality of meat for sure. Place is clean., beside for what i mentionned. The decor is very old. When you walk in the buffet, à smell hit you like à ton of brick. Smell like à public bathroom. Suck the manager doesn't notice this. At the price we pay, we expect much better. In all this...

We ate most meals at El Behique and were impressed by the variety and quality of choices, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Most impressive was the staff. Always friendly and polite, from the hostesses to the cooks, to the servers.

My family typically sat in the same area and were fortunate enough to be waited on by two standouts, Biki and Pedro.

Their positive attitudes, smiles, and enthusiastic conversation complimented the meals and atmosphere for an amazing experience each time.

This is has been by far the best stay ever! The service is outstanding, rooms gorgeous and very comfortable, room service also amazing every time we stepped out of our room it was clean when we arrived. The people here are so genuinely kind, patient and humble. I would highly highly recommend this hotel. This particular buffet is amazingly tasty! Everyday they had hot and delicious food!!!
