We had a wonderful breakfast at Celeste’s restaurant. Our only regret was leaving Bavaro that same day and not being able to experience a second visit at this exemplary eatery. The building and furnishings are carefully maintained, setting the proper atmosphere to enjoy the meal. The service was top notch on every detail. The kitchen knocked it out of the park. For example, we ate serrano bruschetta as one of our plates. I added a light touch of seasoned olive oil. This brought out the individual and perfectly balanced flavours of the special parmesan, serrano cuts, rucola, pico de gallo, and fresh oven baked toast. Fui a probar este restaurante ya que anteriormente había ido alguna vez al que había y la verdad cumplía mis expectativas. Debo decir que no fue una magnífica experiencia, ni por servicio, ni por comida ni por calidad precio. Pedimos 3 platos para compartir : unas rabas de calamar que, aunque el rebozado prometía un manjar delicioso, el calamar estaba totalmente falto de ningún sabor, era como masticar un plástico. El pulpo, que no te lo cobran barato, tenía un tamaño como una mano y la cocción de verdad estaba hecha sin ningún sentido, duro en los tentáculos más delgados y chicloso donde había algo de sustancia. Igual que los calamares, no tenía ningún sabor, sólo un poco de sal gruesa ya le hubiera dado algo de chispa. La ensalada de salmón fue correcta, igual que el brownie velvet que, aunque quemado en sus extremos, tenía buen sabor. Por esos 3 platos + postre + 1 coca cola + 1 Presiente pagamos 3.854 pesos (unos 70 dólares). Los camareros, aunque agradables, están muuuuuuy faltos de formación, deben mejorar en esa parte. No volvería porque como digo, por ese dinero, apuesto seguro en otros restaurantes PERO, como veo que hay buenas reseñas, quizás vuelva para una segunda oportunidad, tal vez pillé al chef de día libre y al maitre de vacaciones... Celeste will serve you up the best Argentine empanadas in the Punta Cana area! Not to mention "La Argenta Burger," which will satisfy any hungry fellow with it's half-pound of meaty goodness, piled high with caramelized onions, provolone, and a hand-made chimmichurri mayo! Kudos to the staff also, whom are very welcoming and impeccable in the service...
