D'Oriental — Restaurant in Higüey

Easily the worst restaurant at the resort. You are better off eating dinner at the buffet or snack bar. The service is horrible, it takes 2 or 3 times as long to get served than any other restaurant. Some of the food is good, the spring rolls and fried ice cream were both highlights, however most of it is subpar and even gross. The sweet and sour pork was so fatty that most was inedible, and the chicken chow mein was unrecognizable. The worst dish on the menu is easily the tuna sashimi, which smelled putrid from two tables away, and tasted so fishy that I doubt it was safe to eat. Don’t be fooled by the other reviews, the sushi and beef dishes do not exist on the menu, and the actual serving sizes are far far smaller than they appear in...

Definitely the worst restaurant at the resort, would recommend to eat at buffet or go to steak house, italian or mexican twice, those were heavenly compared to here. The service is awful, the appetizers came out quick but entree took 45 minutes and saying it was subpar would be an understatement. If you choose still to go here, avoid the sashimi at ALL COSTS, just smelling it made me want to leave, however would definitely recommend the fried ice cream and spring rolls, as those were the only thing that made the meal the slightest...

Very nice restaurant. I ate every bit of my meal, it was great. I got the chicken teriyaki on sticks. The meal came with a bottle of red wine from france for me to keep. It was a very quiet and calm atmosphere, the servers very very kind and happy to help. I got to practice chop sticks again too. Overall much better then i expected, it was the best...
