This is the spot. Ate here three times in our short five days stay. The food was great. That atmosphere was fun and the people that work there were really awesome! Was completely content just coming here every night for dinner. I read some reviews about wait times and stuff like that but it’s what you have to expect. You’re on an island when the place is rocking busy sometimes you might have to wait but that’s anywhere. Worth the wait. Glad we wandered in there early on in our trip! 10/10 recommend.

Ich gebe normalerweise selten schlechte Bewerbungen ab, aber diesmal mache ich eine Ausnahme. Nun wie schon in die Kommentaren gelesen habe, das Restaurant ist wirklich überteuert und es schmeckt in die Wirklichkeit nicht besonders gut. Meine Frau hat Langusten auf dem Grill bestellt und ich Octopus auf Kreolische Art. Die Langusten war nicht durch, obwohl wir mehr als 30 min gewartet haben, darüber hinaus habe ich irgendetwas bekommen, eine Art Kaugummi mit welche Tintaken mittendrin. (ich vermute das war Tintenfisch, nur kaum erkennbar) Das Geschmack und die Portion wären noch in Ordnung gewesen aber nicht für diesen Preis. Aber hallo, über 50€ (wir haben nur 2 kleines Wasser getrunken), dort wo die anderen auf die Strasse Hunger und uns Geld betteln. Na ja egal, der Punkt ist, oder besser gesagt die Überraschung kam als ich das Auszug mit der Rechnung verglichen habe. Gerne schlägt der Staff oder Kellner 500DOP auf die Rechnung oben drauf. So lagen wir über 3500DOP. Es ist kein Wunder wieso dieses Restaurant immer leer steht. Vielleicht haben wir schlecht erwischt, ich habe wirklich keine Ahnung, aber für diesen Preis oder sogar weniger kriegt man viel besseres 200m weiter entfernt 😎 Ich würde nie wieder dort hin und empfehle auch keinen dies zu tun. Sorry😕

Avoid this restaurant! They charged us $94 for the meal pictured, which is completely unreasonable given the quality of food and setting. To top it off, the waitress took over 40 mins to even look at us and when I tried to tell her we were ready to order, she looked at us crazy as if to ask “What do you want?” Or “Why are you here?” What used to be a fair establishment has gone completely downhill.

Bad service. Worse food. Inflated prices. Trying to take turns to support all the local Los Corales restaurants-maybe it was just a bad Friday night early ( not even busy) but rude inattentive guy ( wandering off, yelling orders at other staff while appearing to talk to us) took our order 30 minutes after sitting, eventually bringing drinks. Food took a long time. What used to be good food now looks like it comes out of a box. Frozen carrots arrived still frozen. Burned sides of square frozen fish pieces were hidden. Big change from this time last year when we thought breaded fish pieces were delicious and real and it was great! We did like the bruschetta and whole fish this year. Arrived in Punta Cana on a Tuesday late afternoon, and I went a few blocks from Stanza Mare to Our Republic for some dinner. I got the shrimp mofongo and was pleasantly surprised when they setup a live band to play. The music was lively and a great performance by the band. I left to get back after a couple of cold Presidentes after a good rendition of the Stones' Miss You. The place was hoppin' with a good vibe. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! A total Scam! We had 3 drinks and gave the server 20% tip (not because he was great nor the drinks) just because is what we do. Anyways he got upset and said, that was not enough tip for him. We were very confused by his attitude and we said to him you already had a 10% propina added to my bill and we add an extra 10% and you are not happy about it? Next thing He took our receipt scratch what we wrote and charge us for a $9 tip for a $21 total bill. So be aware that they will charge whatever tip they think is...
