As I made my way through the bustling streets of Sosua, my senses were assaulted by the sounds, smells, and sights of this vibrant town. I was on the hunt for a good meal, and I'd heard that Captain Baile was the place to go.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the colorful decor and lively atmosphere. The walls were adorned with local artwork and photographs of the sea, and the air was filled with the sounds of live music and laughter.
But of course, the most important thing was the food. I perused the menu, which offered a wide range of seafood dishes and traditional Dominican fare. I decided to start with the ceviche, a classic dish that never fails to impress.
The ceviche arrived at my table, and I could tell immediately that it was fresh and expertly prepared. The fish was tender and tangy, with just the right amount of citrus and spice. It was the perfect way to whet my appetite for the main course.
For my entrée, I opted for the grilled lobster, which was served with rice, beans, and plantains. The lobster was cooked to perfection, with a smoky flavor that paired perfectly with the sweetness of the plantains. The rice and beans were a delicious and satisfying accompaniment, rounding out the dish perfectly.
But perhaps the highlight of the meal was the service. The staff at Captain Baile were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations, ensuring that I had a truly memorable dining experience.
As I left the restaurant, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to sample such delicious food in such a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Captain Baile is truly a gem in the heart of Sosua, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Bailee Restaurant in Sosua while celebrating my birthday, and it quickly became one of my favorite places to eat. I ended up going there three days in a row because the experience was that good. Each time I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was consistently excellent throughout my visits. The server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure I had everything I needed. Whether I was there for lunch or dinner, the staff never missed a detail and made me feel like a valued guest every time.
The food was always fresh, flavorful, and came out in a timely manner. The portions were just right, and the quality stayed consistent during all three of my visits.Breakfast time was my favorite part of visiting bailee. On top of that, the restaurant was clean, relaxing, and had just the right vibe for a birthday getaway.
I also want to highlight the security staff, who were professional, respectful, and added to the overall comfort of the place. It's rare to find a spot that checks all the boxes—great food, great people, and a safe, enjoyable environment. I’ll definitely be returning to Bailee the next time...
Read moreI had a grilled Ham Sandwich that still does not agree with me after I ate it earlier yesterday morning around this time and now my stomach cannot bring it down all the way which means the meat was not fully cooked and the kitchen just made it a quick fix up just to send to me who is a tourist yet the locals knew that it wasn’t going to be good. I ask of this to all the Tourists especially Black Americans visiting in Sosua and having lunch breakfast or dinner here to please be careful and make your order specific as possible cause there is no telling what they are doing back there to ruin your vacation time. A lot of the Dominican men who live there in Republica Dominicana are jealous of Americans when some do not like the fact of us clinging to their women for in this situation I ordered alone and it was to go and again the ham was not cooked on the inside which lead to indegestion. I can guarantee you that I will not step foot into this restaurant again for as long as I visited Sosua for the past...
