My opinion is subject to being biased as I am half Mexican and having known the Mexican cuisine very well. I’m unsure how this place has gotten such great reviews and again it could be that people from Ecuador have not tried what the true Mexican flavor is. But having had ordered a simple order of nachos with beans and cheese with more reason I don’t think someone could say this is something easy to mess up. The Totopos were bland and the beans were watery, no actual beans were there. The cheese was a block of cheese thrown on there and as seen on the picture it wasn’t even spread on to this bean sauce. Also if I would have perhaps included travel time for the results of my food that was the product of only half a block from my stay. I ordered agua de Jamaica and it was also a major disappointment. What really left a bitter taste, though, was the price. This spot has charm, but the food and pricing need a serious rethink. Based on this experience, I...
Read moreI wasn't sure that the place was open from the street, but noticed some movement and went up the stairs to check it out. Upon entering, I wasn't sure if it was table service or counter service. It turned out, you are supposed to choose a table and then go to the counter to choose your food. I ordered a small burrito, which was actually quite a bit of food, but not really worth almost $10. You get to choose the contents of your burrito, which I appreciate since there are many foods I don't or can't eat. The mole chicken filling was tasty. The hot sauce wasn't very spicy, and they made me a slightly...
