Was worst experience ever. They have this restaurant Kayan which approached us to book at their New Year’s Eve party which supposed to include all dining and drinks with program from 4 singers to perform at this party , we end up having very bad poor quality food and they played DJ instead of live performing, and after all guests was very angry as they charged us around 100$ per person , some dude from gulf showed up at 2:30 am (after all finished) and he was a worst singer ever and even guests from gulf didn’t like him at all, and All ended up shouting at the managers at that place to return our money back as we can have fancy dinner any where in Cairo with 100$ per person with DJ , these guys are Scammers and dishonest and they destroyed our celebration with the new year evening ,I will never advise any one to go there to this restaurant Kayan or this blue nile place , as all what they care for is to steal your money in brazenly and blandly ways ...specially the manager of this place who is giving endless lies about fixing the situation and always will end as big pier and we lose our money ... what a shame for tourism in Cairo to have...
Read moreBlue Nile is an out-of-service ship that is docked on a shore facing the Ritz-Carlton in the River Nile in Cairo, on the island of Zamalek. There are three restaurants in the ship: a Lebanese restaurant, an Egyptian restaurant and a bar at the top, open deck, which they call "Moon Deck".
A belly dance takes place every morning at 0130 and last for one hour in the Egyptian restaurant. But in order to be there for that you have to order food for EGP500 or more per head. That is very expensive!
The menu is very expensive on the whole. It's very congested. If you're sat at a table and someone occupied the table behind you, their chairs will bump into yours and there will be no way for anyone to get out of their chairs unless everyone decides to leave.
Since the ship is docked in the Nile, one can see the activity in the river if one is seated next to a window. But the atmosphere inside is bent to keep the outside world out.
There was an advertisement outside that showed ten dishes for EGP130. That was a blatant lie. There was no such deal inside. The bill included taxes and service charges and some other...
Read moreI have been a devoted fan of Moon Deck for many years, and I have always considered it to be one of the most stunning nightlife venues in Cairo, especially in Zamalek. The vibrant atmosphere, fantastic music, and the incredible DJ Ihab always left me in awe. Moon Deck is used to attract high-profile guests, including celebrities, businessmen, and foreigners. The transformation into Rotrovo has been disappointing – the music quality has declined, and the new interior decor is quite uncomfortable. The new DJ at Rotrovo lacks the skill of DJ Ihab, and the overall guest quality has significantly dropped. Although my experience was unsatisfactory, I must acknowledge Mr. Joseph, whom I believe to be the manager of Rotrovo. He is professional, and respectful, and offers a warm welcome...
