I visited Little Ocean in Cairo yesterday and ordered a paella, which tasted really good. The dish was well-prepared and filled with seafood, which I greatly appreciated. The food lived up to the expectations of a first-class restaurant, and the flavor experience was truly outstanding.
The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the decor is tasteful and inviting. It's clear that a lot of attention has been paid to the details to create a pleasant experience for guests.
Unfortunately, the service did not match the same level. The menu was served after about 15 minutes, and although the waiter was friendly, he was not very good at explaining the dishes. The menu was also difficult to navigate, and the drinks paired better with dessert than with the main courses.
The restaurant has deep chairs that resemble sofas, making it difficult to reach the food. I also noticed that guests from the wealthy Arabian Gulf states received more attention than ordinary guests. Additionally, the food was placed randomly on the table, so you had to get up to fetch it.
Overall, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was lovely, but the service and some practical aspects could be improved to live up to the restaurant's...
Read moreThis was my first visit to the restaurant, and I was truly impressed. The place is exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, and radiates a sense of calm and luxury. We had the chance to choose from a wide variety of fresh fish and seafood dishes. The food was served warm and tasted absolutely delicious—especially the seafood soup, which was outstanding.
We also ordered several appetizers, and they far exceeded our expectations in both taste and presentation.
What truly set this experience apart, however, was the remarkable hospitality. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming us with warm smiles and helpful attitudes. They answered all our questions about the dishes and ingredients with enthusiasm and care—something that’s become quite rare in many Cairo restaurants lately.
A special mention goes to the manager, Andrew (if I recall his name correctly), who was exceptionally professional and attentive. He was constantly present, making sure everything was running smoothly and guests were well taken care of.
I highly recommend this restaurant to all seafood lovers seeking a memorable...
Read moreI have been coming to Egypt from the UK for many years and I have never complained about any restaurants until now. This restaurant is so poorly run with the rudest host/restaurant manager. The food that me and my group ate gave us very bad food poisoning and spoiled the second half of my stay. We arrived on time for our table and didn’t eat anything for an hour and a half after ordering whilst it was extremely quite. Not once was we offered any soft drinks. The food came out so staggered and they also forgot half of the things we ordered. The young man that was clearing away peoples plates that hadn’t finished their meal. We asked the manager why are all these issues happening and he simply replied with “that’s how we do it on a Thursday” we even had to ask for the bill three times. And each time they failed to remember to give us our bill. Overall I think this place is the worst fish restaurant in Egypt. The fish certainly isn’t fresh and they did not follow my dietary requirements and it tastes frozen and clearly passed its sale by date. Avoid at all costs. Unless you want...
