The Best location and ambience but most lousy service and food serving. On Feb 8, we wanted to try dinner at best Indian restaurant in Cairo and out of few other options, picked this one based upon high ratings and on the name of Hilton brand. We reached their at 7:30 PM and half the restaurant was empty. Still it took 15 mins for the server to come and take order. Our table had no dinner napkins as other tables. When we asked for it, the server brought paper napkins with an excuse that they ran out of regular cloth napkin. They had cloth napkins on other vacant tables. Then we placed an order for vegetarian dishes (paneer and Malai kofta). We stressed with server that we are strict vegetarian due to religious belief. After 15 minutes, a lady dropped off food dishes without announcing a name of each dish. It is a custom for server to announce each dish he or she is serving in USA and all other countries we visited (also in Luxor and Aswan). After couple of bites from Malai Kofta, we found strange taste. We called the original server and he confirmed that lady made a mistake and served us meat curry dish. We were very upset and got up to leave. Then manager came and said "just a mistake. we can make you another dish". No shame. We left the restaurant and went downstairs to Hilton lobby and requested the Hilton manager. The Hilton manager called restaurant manager downstairs and spoke to him in local language. The Hilton manager had no clue what to do or how to react. No apology either. At that point, we realized that it was not worth wasting our time and we left. As a lifelong vegetarians, it was bit traumatic experience. We are very disappointed with Hilton to allow such a lousy restaurant operator and degrading their brand name in such touristy place. If you really want to eat best Indian dinner, go to Moghul at Marriot Mena House in Giza. Heard lots of good thing about Indira Indian Restaurant in Cairo. Wish we had never gone to Hilton and its lousy Indian restaurant. Sorry for long review, but do not want this people to ruin other people's once in a lifetime...

I assisted my friend in ordering Indian food since she is a big fan of Indian food and always try while travelling. But after listening to her experience of having dinner here, it is the same as an unexpected nightmare.
The following reason I would like to list here about experience -
Conclusively, I would suggest do go to this place if you are in good mood or want to enjoy your time and the occasion. And I expect some decency from the owner that he or she will put a little effort into making staff behave well...
Read morewe found this amazing Indian restaurant that outdid the Indian food we've had, even better than some places back in the UK! We ended up going there for dinner three nights in a row, and let me tell you about our experience.
On the first night, things started okay. There was this tall waiter who didn't seem too thrilled to see us, a group that looked Indian. He squeezed us into a small table, barely enough for the four of us. Even though the place wasn't busy, he seemed hesitant to take our additional orders, which was a bit off-putting. But the rest of the crew, especially a guy named Gamel Abdel and another friendly, shorter waiter, really made up for it with their smiles and excellent service.
The next night, we found ourselves at another snug table. But this time, Gamel Abdel recognized us and brought over some free milkshakes for the kids, which was a sweet touch! The service felt more welcoming and attentive than the day before.
By the third night, it felt like we were old friends. Gamel Abdel greeted us with such joy, and the service was top-notch from start to finish.
Now, let's talk about the food – delicious! Every dish was bursting with flavours, the lasuni naan needs special mention. Biryani was an exception and was just passable. The prices are a bit high relatively, but it's worth it for the great food, lovely atmosphere, and kind staff.
Big shout out to Gamel Abdel, the short waiter, and the manager for making our dining...
