The worst experience At Alsaraya boat ,
disappointing experience at Alsaraya boat during their New Year's Eve event party . It seems like the party did not live up to your expectations and lacked the festive atmosphere one would expect on such a special occasion. The organization of the event, including the countdown to 2024, was not well-executed, which surely dampened the overall experience. Additionally, the music selection gave the impression of a street party rather than a curated New Year's Eve celebration. The poor lighting and absence of fireworks or any festive decorations on the tables further contributed to the lackluster ambiance.
The pricing aspect of your experience was also a letdown. Alsaraya boat overcharged us by demanding 5000 Egyptian pounds per person, and to make matters worse, drinks were not included in this already high price. Adding insult to injury, service charges and taxes were tacked on as well.
The quality of the food was another disappointment. Describing it as simple and not enjoyable suggests that it did not live up to your expectations for a special event like New Year's Eve. Furthermore, the decision to bring Ehab Tawfik on stage only at 6am, towards the end of the event, seems poorly planned. Guests would have likely preferred to enjoy the performance earlier in the evening when energy levels were higher.
Feeling like we were being scammed and charged an exorbitant amount, with each person paying more than $170, is disheartening. It's crucial for businesses to provide value for money, and Alsaraya boat seems to have fallen short . I would like to mention this is not good for tourist in Egypt stop scamming tourists, provide good service...
Read moreThere is no option of zero star else I would not have given even one star. I would give a simple advice to tourists.....don't ever even pass infront of this place....They're swindlers...they've their touts standing outside to attract people....the food which they serve is below average with no taste and overpriced...there was a male singer who was singing Arabic songs which I couldn't understand. I was charged 200 LE for the singer separately in the bill. When I gave them my card, the waiter told me that they accept only cash and that they don't have machine to swipe credit/debit cards. It is really unbelievable.....When I left after payment, their touts standing outside started begging for the tip like a classic beggar... It is a pathetic place and I won't recommend anyone to even pass outside it. I also hope that Tourism ministry takes notice of all such places for ruining the...
Read moreCame here as part of a tour group, and it seems that this restaurant is mostly filled with similar groups. Besides the novelty of dining by the Nile River, the buffet spread has potential but ultimately fell short as most items were cold while waiting for the groups to arrive. Desserts like kunafa and luqaimats tasted really bad when cold.
You would need to top-up for drinks, which can be quite expensive. Think 60 EGP for a tiny cup of hot Lipton tea. There may be street sellers right outside this place and it would be a better idea to get your post-meal coffee/ tea from them instead.
The place was also quite dim with minimal lighting. Given most diners are tourists, it would be helpful to include the name of each dish in Arabic and...
