A little disappointed!
I picked a very large fish from the display. I was later told that it was a sea bass or bass.
I was told it was EL 160 per kilo. So the fish on it's own cost 165.5. I thought this would include cooking and sitting down.
I also ordered rice. I had bread and a small bottle of water.
The final bill was:

Because I had felt a bit mean in the past about not tipping. I gave the waiter:
EL. 350.00
£16.81 pounds sterling
$21.69. US$
I had the fish spread out to cook in the Egyptian style. I felt the effect of this compared to grilling was to make it a little dry.
Perhaps after eating the rice and bread, I just wasn't so hungry.
The waiter offered to put what I had left in a carry home bag.
But it would have been a shame to have wasted it, and I don't...

I asked to add slices of lemon, the merchant asked me to go pay for it at the cashier! The dine in experience was good, the fried fish was nice and seafood rice but the squid was very tasteless and stretches. It is an ok experience if ur in a hurry but not the seafood experience you would look...
Read moreThis place was on our way to and from work every day we stayed in Cairo. It's the most accessible, there 2 small steps into the shop and the staff came out in a hurry to assist us. Very kind of them!!
The food its Delicious and the food don't take too long to make, we hand picked our fish and shrimps, downstairs was good place to eat. We had a grilled fish, a soup and grilled shrimps with some bread....
