The service provided by the waiters is a solid 5 star. They are professional and attentive to even the smallest details. The place is very poor they don’t even have air conditioning indoors. We ordered the beef fillet served on the hot stone and the wienerschnitzel; I tried both dishes in Europe and they didn’t taste like this at all (and they are no Swiss in any way). The cut of the beef, the quality of the meat, the taste, the flavors, the texture, all are simply horrible, I mean nothing is seasoned well. I honestly dont know how can you ruin a schnitzel; the quality was not as expected especially at this price point. Even the little details, the sauces were poor and plain and the fires are cheap fries you pick up at a gas station.
Overall the service was excellent but the food was way below average. I believe this is due to the owners unwillingness to provide better food and services which is just disrespectful to the customers. I regret wasting a dinner there since Gouna is filled with excellent restaurants, and I dont know how they call that a...
Read moreWe had a wonderful dining experience at Chuchichäschtli in El Gouna Downtown. From the moment we arrived, the warm and cozy ambiance set the tone for a relaxing evening. The menu offered a delightful array of authentic Swiss dishes — every plate was beautifully presented, and each bite was packed with rich, satisfying flavours.
We especially loved the fondue and rösti: creamy, perfectly seasoned, and truly reminiscent of the Alps. The attention to detail in each dish was evident, and it elevated the meal into something special.
What really made the evening memorable, though, was the service. The team at Chuchichäschtli was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. They made us feel right at home, offering helpful recommendations and checking in with perfect timing — without ever being intrusive.
All in all, our time at Chuchichäschtli exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this hidden gem in El Gouna for anyone craving real Swiss cuisine paired with...
Read moreAside from the good food, my 10 to 12 year old daughters and their friends were forced not to order from the kids menu. Staff insisted that it is for 6 year olds. When the kids confronted the staff that the menu says up to 12 years, they lied and told them it is new rules. Anyways, before posting this, I went to the management and informed them, they did not give this any importance and said it is human error.
I am sorry to inform you, this is not acceptable. I sent my kids to what I thought is a professional place because I trusted it. I was wrong.
The owner insists to serve children based on their age, which does not make sense. And is telling their parents that they are above age to order from the kids section. He guessed their age from a camera. I have their birth dates on their passports. If the owner does not like to serve kids, he can make a rule regarding this. Otherwise, it is not nice to bully 10-12 year olds who wanted to go out by themselves and have...
