I recently visited this restaurant in the heart of Gouna downtown, and I must say, the location couldn't be better. It's right in the center, making it easily accessible for anyone in the area. The ambiance of the place is not overly sophisticated, which gives it a relaxed and casual vibe. To start off my meal, I decided to try the Tom Yum soup, and boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise! The flavors were absolutely amazing, far exceeding my expectations. The combination of spices and herbs created a delightful explosion of taste in my mouth. It was a fantastic way to begin my dining experience. Next, I ordered the shrimp dish, which resembled tempura. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The shrimp was dry, and the flavors seemed to be a bit muddled. It was a bit disappointing, considering the excellent start with the soup. However, the real winners of the meal were the Pad Thai noodle dish and the shrimp sweet and sour. My wife and I decided to share these two dishes, and we were glad we did. The Pad Thai was simply outstanding. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors was spot on. It's definitely a must-try. On the other hand, the shrimp sweet and sour dish didn't impress us as much. The flavors were not as harmonious as we expected, and it fell short compared to the Pad Thai. If you're torn between the two, I would recommend going for the Pad Thai instead. To wrap up the meal, we indulged in the mango sticky rice dessert, and it was a fantastic choice. The mango was perfectly ripe and sweet, and the sticky rice complemented it beautifully. It was a delightful way to conclude the dining experience. Overall, despite the minor hiccup with the shrimp dish, I had a great time at this restaurant. The location is convenient, the Tom Yum soup was a pleasant surprise, the Pad Thai was superb, and the mango sticky rice was a perfect ending to the meal. I will definitely be returning in the future. Bravo to the chef and the staff!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ☺️ First thing, the place is so cozy and clean, people working there are so welcoming and friendly. Chef “Sue” is a great person, so friendly and always smiling. He will help you decide what to order and he will explain everything. The food was great. The food quality and quantity is worth its price. We are Vegetarians, so they made the dishes without any meat, especially for us. We ordered veggie spring rolls, it was so crunchy and fresh, I give it 5/5. We also ordered veggie yellow curry with Potato, dish number 21. It was rich with flavors, I give it 4,5/5. We also ordered dish number 26, it was amazing, I give it 5/5. For desert we ordered dish number 53, which is sticky rice with coconut cream and fresh mango pieces this was the most Thai dish we have ever eaten. It just needed more coconut cream, or maybe because I love coconut so much. We didn’t try any drinks because honestly the prices were expensive. Overall the place is great, the food is so tasty, the staff is so friendly. Even if the prices are expensive, but this is the situation in all the restaurants in El Gouna. If you are in Egypt, and you miss the real taste of Thai food, this place will make you feel like you are in Thailand. Don’t miss the chance and go try it, it’s worth it. We went back again in April 2021. The place is still amazing as it used to be ❤️

If you’re looking for the most authentic and delicious Thai food in El Gouna, look no further than White Elephant Thai Restuarant. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat, but the experience exceeded all expectations. The flavors were absolutely perfect—every dish was rich, fragrant and beautifully balanced. It truly felt like a taste of Thailand right here in Egypt. The fact that the chef is a Thai lady explains why everything was so incredibly authentic! You can tell that each dish is made with skill, love, and tradition. A special shoutout to our waiter, Bishoy, who was outstanding. He was attentive, friendly and made sure our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. If you’re in El Gouna and craving Thai food, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
