Jobo’s Restaurant and Sports Bar — Restaurant in Gamsha

A bar that doesn't like to serve alcohol - unacceptable behaviour from one of the members of staff

We sat next to the bar and ordered a couple of cocktails and the waiter reminded us that it's Ramadan and whether we're sure we want do drink. He had thought we're Egyptian (we're British) and was questioning why we're drinking. He was happy to take our order and we thought we clarified the situation.

He then went back behind the bar and another bartender (tallest person on the shift) started shouting at the waiter "In Ramadan?". He was making our cocktails and kept shouting "In Ramadan?" after each ingredient he would put in and slamming bottles around. He was giving the other waiter and us really dirty looks.

The other staff members looked really scared of him. When the waiter came back with our drinks he again questioned why we're drinking and we showed him our passports.

He aplogised and then I saw two of them taking the enraged bartender to the back and trying to calm him down. He never apologised to us

Very cheap prices for the great quality food they serve. I tried the pizza and the portion size was awesome and it really tasted good. It’s also a sports bar so they show there matches and all that stuff. Good place if you want to eat good pizza/burgers or if you just want to enjoy a nice beer with the pals.
