Soul Chicken — Restaurant in Gamsha

I rarely leave reviews of this nature, but after dining here, I feel a responsibility to share my experience.

This restaurant unfortunately falls far below basic hygiene standards. Unlike most quality establishments that use clean shortening or regularly maintained oil for frying, this place relies on fryer oil that clearly hasn’t been changed in a long time. The result is fried chicken that tastes stale, overly greasy, and carries a rancid odor—far from safe or appetizing.

More concerning than the flavor, however, is the state of the kitchen itself. It’s visibly unsanitary, with noticeable dirt buildup and insects around the cooking and prep areas. I also observed that staff were handling food without gloves, or wearing the same gloves between raw and cooked items, which raises serious cross-contamination risks.

For a place serving high-risk food like fried chicken, this level of negligence is unacceptable. It reflects a clear disregard for food safety regulations and customer well-being. Until proper hygiene practices are enforced and the kitchen undergoes a thorough sanitation process, I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.

The chicken sandwiches were very good & came out after 45 mins of making the order which is a bit long but relatively well according to the rest of the story. The roasted garlic Parmesan chicken was very bland & came out as original, then when told that it wasn’t the correct order, they sprinkled some Parmesan on top & came back with the order. We ordered two platters of chicken wings, one came out in a bowl dipped in sauce, the other was a platter of bland fried chicken wings with a cup of sauce. On top of that, the order was late one hour & a half!! So we were famished, & the order came out not as good as we hoped. Awful place !!! We were 3 persons. The guy who came to take an order , was in dirty street jacket. It’s totally no suitable looks of Waiter.

The waiter took our order. We got 3 drinks. But we didn’t receive our food in appropriate way. The waiter didn’t turn his brain on and instead few portions , he served one portion of fried chicken. We decided that is no any problem , we could share that one till waiting for more. But when we started to bite the chicken… it was awful felling , The chicken was totally raw inside !!! 🤢 with blood even. Immediately we stood up, and no any way to give them one more chance to mistake !!

But in the end they forced us to pay for drinks. Whatttt????? What about apologies...
