2nd meal at this hotel. i should have learned from the first one. very disappointing. i ordered crab cakes and ceasar salad. both terrible. the crab cake had a bunch of filler in it and no crab. i called them crab cakes with no crab. the ceasar salad tasted like mayonnaise only. no seasoning no anchovy no garlic the croutons were soft not crunchy. service was ok, but the really bad thing were the people who walked in the restaurant taking pictures of the paintings on the wall. i sat near the door and found this very disruptive. they didn't sit and eat they just came thru to take pictures of the paintings on the wall. really unprofessional. as i stated in a previous review there is a 14% vat charge and a 12% service charge. the service charge is not given to the server. i was informed of this by my tour guide. we were further encouraged to give a tip because the server does not receive the service charge. so you get charged 26% above the final price of the check. then you should give an additional 10% or more for the tip. come on this is highway robbery. the price i paid for this over priced food was 51.59usd. that was my last meal at any of the Marriot restaurants. i was truly...

Very good and interesting restaurant within the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino. The restaurant consists of a series of different themed rooms, all grandly decorated. Each room represents a different restaurant within the restaurant (the gallery concept), such as the American steakhouse and the Italian restaurant.

We liked it because they let us order from the steakhouse menu while sitting in the non-smoking Italian room.

The food was good, with reasonable prices. The service was slow...European style.

its more about the atmosphere than the food. the place feels like an ottoman palace. we didn’t try the food, but the options looked very limited. The desserts were all pistachio based for some reason. We had mouse trio and the mille-feuitte and they were fine, but not especially good. the service wasn’t very good - we had to get up and ask the servers to order and to pay, but that might have been because we were only having dessert and not a main course. i wouldn’t return, but would recommend stopping by for a drink for...
