Lavender Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Geziret al Zamalik, Jazirat al Zamalik

I tried Iftar today at this very restaurant I will start about the location -Perfect directly on Nile side, well decorated. parking slots, are little bit hard but there is over priced valet that can help. service, they are doing well trying to smile and help. So 10/10 cheers to the stuff. food, unfortunately, the taste of food overall is not that perfect as the vibes severed, its so disappointing and frustrating. So 6/10 for the food. We tried beef with mushroom and Moza beef , meat was well cooked but not that tasty. 1st one was salty and the other no sense. Also Roca, Fatouch salads are fresh but not tasty. Same to soup, chicken mushroom cream, so fresh but not that tasty. I tried many better quality. To owner, Why you are wasting this perfect place with this poor food quality. Last thing The set menu listed a plate of mix appetizer (Kobeba, Ma7shi, Sambousk), we were two, and we ordered two, but they served one one tray (2 kobeba, 3 fingers of 3 kinds of ma7shi, 2 sambousk), and when i asked about the other tray, they said, this tray for two, i asked for the manager and he apologized and served the other tray. Thanks for the manager but that was so disappointing. Taste was also fair 6/10. Unfortunately i cant recommend, maybe only normal breakfast or brunch, for...

Such a shame, for an aesthetic place in a wonderful location and with acceptable food, They have such horrible hospitality. Although having been to the place 6-7 times, and always spending over a thousand or two, They seem to always not want to guide us to a front row or nile view table (as 2 or 3) Would have to “give us a notice” that they’re a restaurant not a cafe (which we were anyway going to eat, it’s just very inhospitable, rude, and demeaning to presume such) even when the place is empty Then it came to a point where we once had lunch and drinks, and were waiting for the check Although the place still had a lot of people, they asked us to “move to another table without a view” as they want to decorate this one!!! While we were still sitting… we obviously told them no, we’re going to leave altogether. Im astounded by their constant socially unacceptable behaviour and inhospitability. Unfortunately it takes away from the comfort...

They discriminate against Egyptians. The moment we stepped in we were told we have to order food no drinks, while foreigners sat and drank only and left but no one said anything. The food was absolutely disgusting the Alfredo chicken pasta had raw chicken and smells awful and it immediately felt wrong and also the lavender chicken plate had the same issue with the chicken and we left with stomache ache. Not to mention the attitude of the staff when we wanted to sit indoors since it was hellish outside the waiter said sorry I only have a large table not a table for three so I won't be able to accommodate you. Also high music volume. The only good side was the view but not worth the money. Not recommend at all and will advise against going there.
