I know I was not booking a 5 star hotel so I didn't really set my hopes very high but this was way less than I expected. Check in was fast and we were in our room in no time, however we asked for one big bed and got 2 twins, well. First disappointment, our all inclusive was not really all inclusive. We had all 3 meals and beverages included but alcoholic drinks, Turkish coffee and fresh juices. I've never been to an all inclusive that would not really be all inclusive. Either it is or it is not. Never were we told about this when we made our reservation, we booked an all inclusive room, didn't know that it really wasn't. Second disappointment, not only wifi is only available at the lobby, but it's not free. If I will pay for wifi at a hotel I would at least expect it to be able to use it in my room. It doesn't even work at the (only) restaurant or the pool area. And on top of that, it's super slow when you can get it to work. It was 1 euro for 15 minutes, 2 for an hour or 12 euros for 60 hours which is what we got as we were staying for 6 days, we used maybe half of it waiting for pages to load. Now to the room. It was super old. TV and blow drier are like from 1970. There is mold everywhere, not only the room is old but also not well maintained. Towels from both the bathroom and pool are too old and were more like rags. On our 5th day we discovered a rotten lemon below one of the beds, and a spider web on the bathroom, it's clear they barely clean the rooms. The beds were very comfortable though. Air conditioning works well, keeps the room cool even at the lowest setting, which is very much appreciated as Sharm is VERY hot, even in October. Breakfast was just terrible, and it doesn't even have signs to tell you what it is, so you just have to try it or you will never know what it was. Potatoes were dry, oatmeal was terrible. They cook omelettes to order, greasy but these at least had a good taste. Lunch was just ok, they now had signs to tell you what it was. I wish there was a bigger selection, it's pretty much the same things every day. Pizza, potatoes in every way, rice, pasta, and a couple of meat dishes. Dinner was way much better, they had grilled meats outside a couple of days plus the regular dishes inside. If every meal had the same quality dinner had it all would have been so much better. We basically lived on juices from the machine -you could serve them yourself on breakfast but they would put the machine away for lunch and dinner- so you had to keep getting up from your table to get more every time, which was not nice as the disposable plastic cups they use were the size of my thumb -not kidding- and it was gone in 2 sips. We could also have soda by the cup. There are "servers" around but they only took away our plates, never asked us if they could bring us more drinks, not even one single time. The pool area was actually nice. If they replaced those umbrellas that I guess once were red it would look so much better, the sun has eaten up all of its color. The lobby area is nice too. If they refurbished their rooms and kept them well maintained, it could live up to its 3 star rating, to me it was a 2 star probably. On our last night there was a belly dance and fire show, which was good. Ahmed the animation guy was cool and friendly, he takes you to the clubs at night, we went to Dolce Vita and he got us a good deal. Sayet from the front desk was AWESOME. He made our check in and check out a breeze, and even helped us talk to the local police about a very unfortunate problem we had at one of the shisha places called Bingo Sunset (please avoid) and every time we needed help on anything he was there for us, I wish all employees at the hotel were like him. The location is great, just a block away from all the action in Naama bay. If I every return to Sharm I would stay somewhere else, unless they improved at...
