The taste is indescribable... Itās a combination of avocado, lemongrass, and egg.
The service is lazy and arrogant, and the price is exorbitant. A single glass of orange juice costs 190 EGP, plus a 12% tax (over 30 RMB) ā this is nothing short of a rip-off in Dahab. In Luxor, a glass of orange juice at McDonaldās only costs 40 EGP, which is why everyone calls Dahab a "paradise of high prices" in comparison. A simple breakfast for three people costs 1500 EGP (32 USD).
At a breakfast cafƩ in Dahab, we ordered a serving of avocado toast and orange juice, which cost 350 Egyptian Pounds. For a city famous for its affordable prices, this was by no means cheap. The avocado toast was just a simple combination of sliced avocado, lemongrass, and eggs. While the food looked good in photos, it tasted terrible. The orange juice was decent, though.
The waitress was extremely casual and lazy. When I asked for the bill, she waved me over to the counter as if she were calling a cat or a dog. It was the first time I had encountered such rudeness. Both the order and the bill were handwritten, and she wouldnāt even bother to come to our table to settle the bill. When we asked her to split the bill, she made no attempt to hide her impatience. Was this a "cold-shoulder breakfast" weād come for?! Her attitude made us feel sick to our stomachs about the food...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe waited for an hour and half for this? Please donāt come to this place, the food is below average, pricy, small portion, and the āfoodā takes forever to make. Not sure where the good reviews came from. Also no AC in the restaurant.
After asking the front desk what happened, she responded with ātheir guy who delivers avocado didnāt arrive on timeā. After asking her why didnāt she say something after we placed the order, only to let us know after we waited for an hour and half and finally came to her to ask what happened, she responded again with ātheir guy who delivers avocado didnāt arrive on timeā. Itās just whatever you say to her, she will not listen, only trying to collect the 1300 Egyptian dollars for small portion, disgusting tasting food. The eggs with cheese tasted stinky and after having it, made one of us threw up as soon as we went back. The omelette was raw inside. The precious avocado we waited so long for is hard on the inside so we ended up not eating it. Itās not all restaurant in Dahab that have shifted to the worst due to increasing tourists, but this one is definitely not the place to go anymore. We still paid full amount because we donāt want to argue with this bs place and service...
