The restaurant is small yet cozy place and booking a table in advance is a good idea. The menu is quite extensive, offering both meat and seafood dishes. Our waiter approached us quickly and took our order. While we waited we were served two complimentary appetizers: a salmon tartare in a waffle cone and bread with butter. For starters we ordered Seared tuna tataki with yakiniku sauce and Mussels with black truffle in a cream sauce. The tuna was very soft, probably the most tender one I’ve had in Tallinn. The sauce worked really well with it. The mussels were also really good, especially the truffle sauce which gave them a great flavor. For the main course, we had Grilled salmon fillet with spinach lemon risotto, Duck fillet with mini vegetables in wine sauce, and Pork cheeks in wine sauce with mashed potatoes. Each dish was perfectly balanced in flavor and we truly enjoyed every bite. The meat dishes were served with truffle mashed potatoes which were also delicious. We also decided to try desserts choosing a Basque cheesecake and a Raspberry tart with sorbet. The cheesecake was incredibly soft and creamy, while the tart had a wonderfully intense raspberry flavor. Overall, our experience was excellent. The dishes were delicious and well worth their price. I highly recommend this place. Additionally, the service deserves a special mention. Despite it being a Saturday evening with almost full seating and only one waiter working, there were no...
Read moreThe food was OK, but nothing amazing. They have so many great reviews, so this might have been just our bad luck. The cutlet I had looked good when it arrived, but it fell apart immediately, when I tried cutting it. Ended up looking like a bunch of regular minced meat all over my plate. Nothing bad about it, if I wanted to eat mashed potatoes with minced meat sauce, but I was hoping for a cutlet. And the cutlet didn’t have much taste, although it had so many things inside it (different vegetables). The place is called 7Herbs, but it really lacked HERBS... or salt and pepper. Also, I would have liked more of the potatoes, because there was so much meat and not much to side it with. There was some salad, but with a lot of balsamic vinegar and I felt it didn’t suit there. But this is just my opinion. In addition, the cutlet took so much longer than the other dishes we ordered and they brought the other food in the table before mine... I’m not sure how a cutlet can take so much longer, especially if it ended up being so...
