The rooms in hotel listings are definitely portrayed as bigger than they actually are. In our case this was not much of an issue, given the nature of our stay (one night), however, in the case of a longer stay or a business trip, this would have caused a significant impact.
The apartment was, however, very tidy, smelled good and had a thermostat for climate control (which we could not figure out how to use, apparently they were locked on the preset temperature - but this could've just been user error). The living room is clean with plenty of space for a single person or a few people for a shorter stay, as the couch could also be extended and turned into an additional bed. There is also enough room and furniture for a business stay. The kitchen had all the necessities provided, such as an espresso machine, a microwave, an induction stove and coffee, tea, sugar and some basic appliances. There was however no milk for adding to the coffee, which is fine but did cause a slight inconvenience. The bedroom was fine, a comfortable bed and good air circulation, and no distractions. The bathroom looks fantastic, but the shower is designed in an awful way so that during any sort of prolonged shower, practically the whole bathroom is flooding with water. There was also no toothpaste anywhere to be found, which was an inconvenience as we fully expected the basic bathroom necessities to be accommodated for. At least there was plenty of toilet paper, a shower gel that doubled as shampoo, which was okay. Overall a comfortable living space.
The service is practically non existent, given the fully automated check-in system, despite there being a service phone in the room (this was out of order) and in our case was not an inconvenience given our short stay, but YMMV.
The location was okay, reading other reviewers' takes I have to disagree on the surroundings feeling dead and drab. There are plenty of smaller restaurants and cafes, even a couple of bars, as well as several smaller supermarkets for basic food and necessities. For this price point, that was more than enough. The location is also an approx. 25 minute walk from the Tallinn Bus terminal, as well as 20 minutes from the Old Town, which was fine.
Overall I would consider this hotel again for my next trip to the city, but, again, if you are looking for a longer stay or for a business trip, consider...
Read moreThe aparthotel is easy to reach both from the airport and the city center, and located in a quiet area. It's in a cute historical building, it's also clean and has all the needed facilities for a short stay. The check in and check out are very simple.
However, unfortunately, my expectations haven't been met, and that led to quite some disappointment. The room is way smaller and particularly less charming compared to the pictures in the listing (I attach some pictures taken from my phone for reference). The building is approx. 20 mins walk from the city center and located in a quite "abandoned-feeling" area: many shops are temporarily or permanently closed for example. While the human-less check in and check out experience added to the efficiency points, it made it quite difficult to ask for extra things such as "can I store my luggage somewhere for a couple of hours before catching...
Read moreA good choice if you’re in Tallinn by car - there’s a parking adjacent to the building. The rooms are visibly new and well maintained, clean too. The rooms are rather small, so it’s good for a shorter stay. The bed was big and comfy. The bathroom way clean. The room has a fridge and a microwave, which is a plus. Good wifi and a tv. The location is a short walk away from the sea, but not in a very interesting location. We chose to get to the old town by car. Overall - perfect for a short stay, tidy and comfy despite...
