Incredibly delicious food but the service wasn't so good.
We walked past on our way to the Kadriorg Museum and thought we would give it a try as it looked nice. When we walked in one of the servers acknowledged us, so we took a table. We waited a while as she served others but not us, then we saw that there were some menus on a table near the front so thought perhaps we had to help ourselves to them. We decided what we wanted and continued to wait to be served, still no service, even though the other tables were all being attended to. Eventually I went to the bar, as I thought perhaps we had to order at the counter and that's why no one had come to take our order, but the girl told me they should come to the table. After that, eventually one of the girls came over. She took our orders but we think she might not have heard my partner's order for juice as it never came (in fairness we did not mention it after it never arrived, as by this point, we were already feeling quite uncomfortable, as though we were unwelcome) - mine came with seeds in which I put down to it being freshly made but it did seem a bit like the waitress just wasn't our biggest fan. We also noticed the other tables had all been given big jugs of water which we were never offered. When the food came it was seriously absolutely delicious and that is why I was keen to come and give a rating, we may look to come back in future as we're hoping it may have just been an 'off' day for the waitress (who didn't look very happy in fairness) and not the place itself, which was very cosy. When we finished I put my fork down and the waitress came over IMMEDIATELY to ask if we wanted anything else, and then sorted the bill very quickly, so I suppose this was good though it did further highlight the difference between how slow they had been to serve us at the beginning and we wondered if they were keen for us to leave. Having looked at the other comments it seems perhaps the restaurant doesn't accept walk-ins and people should book, which may be why the waitress was not particularly welcoming? However none of this was made clear. Overall, a nice restaurant and delicious food, but the waitress made us feel truly uncomfortable and that was a real...

Lyhyesti: Kaikki sujui täydellisesti. Mahtava kokemus. Suosittelen lämpimästi. In brief: Everything was perfect. A wonderful experience. A heartfelt recommendation.
Palvelu: Välitön, nopea ja ystävällinen. Henkilökunta ansaitsi juomarahansa. Service: Immediate, quick and friendly.
Alkuruoat kohottivat odotuksia lopuista annoksista erittäin korkealle. Starters: We had house bread and a charcuterie platter to share, and to drink we ordered a limoncello spritz and a Rudolf (blood orange to our palates) spritz. The house bread seasoned with rosemary and olives was served warm on a beautiful wooden tray with truffle butter and tasted wonderful. The charcuterie platter had a wonderful interplay of flavors. The excellent meats and cheeses were brilliantly complemented with a variety of sweet and salty accompaniments. Both drinks were lovely and refreshingky tarr with a hint of sweetness and served in a tall, nearly spherical glass with a glass straw. The starters raised our expextations of the rest of the dinner extremely high.
Main course: For the main course both of us chose the filet mignon. The portion was served with a large, solid and sharp steak knife. The perfectly medium meat was extremely tasty and tender, and the amount of salt was just right. Our chosen wine 2020 Château Moulin des Moines Haut-Médoc paired with it wonderfully. The asparagus was cooked just as I like it, firm yet tender and the bearnaise sauce was the final touch to elevate the rest beyond.
Desserts: I chose the posset with a lemon meringue martini and my wife had the white chocolate mousse. My own dessert was served on a deep, wide plate and was decorated with bright red raspberry dust and small flakes of roasted white chocolate. The citrusy posset was a wonderful ending to an equally wonderful dinner. The martini, served in a slightly rounded glass with a twist of lemon peel was also excellent, creamy yet refreshing. My wife's mousse was a true work of art. The mousse, looking like a honeycomb was decorated with a beautifully smooth ice cream quenelle, fresh raspberries and what looked like honey in some of the cells and was eaten with every sign of...
Read moreWanted to brunch here for quite a bit. Every time when I was passing by, lots of people were sitting inside. Made it to this restaurant, eventually. Was looking forward to the experience itself, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. My breakfast was ready real quick. What I don't get is the reasoning behind serving a coffee before the dish. And, honestly, coffee could have been better. Quite obvious that commercial coffee beans are being used, which does not correspond to the pretentious restaurant like this one. The milk in that cup was kinda a saviour, if I might say so. As for the toast with ham, it turned out to be disappointing. The hollandaise sauce was too sour, no balance. Obviously, the avocado was also sprinkled with lemon juice. So, the concentration of lemon juice was too much. And it kinda ruined the aftertaste. Also, the size of the portion was quite small. Usually, it is enough, given the fact there is brioche & ham/salmon & hollandaise sauce. Unfortunately, not in this case. Waiting for the receipt was around 15 minutes... The only good thing was the vibe of the restaurant and its proximity to Kadriorg. Maybe, I was not just lucky with...
