I am absolutely in love with the place. Kind and attentive hosts, incredible attention to detail on every step of cooking. I often miss the taste of meals my Ukrainian family used to cook, and not always have energy to cook myself. Their dishes are more than I could wish for and I would like also to point out that they cook quite fast. This is a top-quality restaurant, and it was my first time trying Ukrainian dumplings. The owner was very friendly, and to keep us entertained while we waited, he played videos for us and shared stories about his hometown in Ukraine. Although his English wasn’t perfect, I truly appreciated his politeness, and the food was amazing. As an Asian, I initially worried that the dumplings labeled “Dumpling” on the menu might be similar to the ones I’m used to, but after trying them, I realized they were quite different, making the experience unique and enjoyable. I arrived exhausted to my hotel, and slept for a lot longer than I planned. So I had some dumplings, and accompaniments delivered to my hotel.

I was incredibly, and pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes, as well as the quality and flavour! My dumplings itch was well and truly scratched!

The pork and beef dumplings were rich and juicy, and the vereniki with cottage cheese, spinach and onions were comforting and filling on a cold night. The sour cherry dumplings are absolutely delicious with a little sugar and a blob of sour cream!...
