Music doesn’t apply to the overall harmony of the place. It sounded like cheap pop music.
Interior is interesting, also as the whole concept.
As for the chef’s compliment we got homemade cheese baguettes. They were OK, but a little bit doughy. Salted butter with it was also OK.
For the starter we had beef tartare, which was very classic and really good. We complimented it with extra homemade fries, which also ended being top quality.
For the mains we had catfish ravioli, veal cheeks and sea devil, because they didn’t have corvina.
Catfish ravioli was kinda nice, but the stuffing was a little bit dry. Balance of the dish was on spot. Nice presentation.
Veal cheeks was tender, nicely balanced and seasonal, but the truffle essence they using was overpowering. It was too much for the dish. And the presentation was poor, not restaurant quality.
Because they didn’t have corvina, waitress offered me a sea devil. Sea devil is also called a poor man’s lobster because of its texture and sweet taste. The sea devil I got was overcooked, dry and seemed to be frozen. They prepared me another one, but still the garnish was way too simple, too fatty and off balance. No sauce, just some leek mayo and oil. The dish should be off the menu.
Coctails was kinda nice, but a little overpriced.
Still water price is ridiculous. You pay less in the michelin star restaurant.
Air conditioning was poor also. Too hot inside.
Overall price and quality balance doesn’t fit for the michelin guide recommendation.
Besides food, we enjoyed our service. Waitress...
Read moreAs the overall dining scene in Tallinn continues to hold its strong standards, Art Priori truly stands out — a restaurant that never fails to deliver an exceptional experience. Each visit feels like a celebration of fine dining at its best, intertwining exquisite flavors with attentive, thoughtful service.
On our recent visits, every course has been wonderful. We’ve started with oysters the last times — always fresh, delicate, and beautifully presented. From the new menu, I’d especially highlight the Scallops Crudo — an absolute gem that’s not to be missed. You can never go wrong with their tartare, either, a classic that reflects the kitchen’s refined touch perfectly. Nothing too much, nothing missing. If this already whets your appetite, I’ll leave the mains and desserts for you to discover yourself — they’re worth the anticipation. The interior mirrors the same level of artistry found in the kitchen — thoughtfully curated, with attention to detail and a sense of timeless elegance that makes the whole experience feel complete. A special mention to Valeri and Getter for their warm and impeccable service, which adds so much to the overall experience. The wine selection is excellent, with thoughtful pairings that really let the dishes bloom.
Art Priori remains one of Tallinn’s true culinary highlights — a place that continues to stay true to their values and integrity in a world that so often trades authenticity for...
Read moreNow I'm reviewing this based on the price and on the quality of food for that price. Of course if the meals would be 10 eur I would give it a 5 but as this restaurant is competing with the likes of 180c, NOAs chefs hall, tsaichovsky - I need to take a critical view.
Service
The service is not what you would expect from a place like this. When you normally go to a high end restaurant you get waiters who explain what the food is about. What is the story? Where do the wines come from which match with the food? You will not get any of that here. Just here is the menu and all. You need to explain what is the point of the food there. Is there a message? Something special about it? Tell me.. A good service takes you on a trip on a road of culinary experiences.
Food
The food is not good. Not good at all. They are very basic meals not like on NOAs chefs hall or 180c for example. The quality of the beef was not that good (and I mean the main point for a restaurant like this is to source PREMIUM quality beef). The desserts were OK, but again - nothing special. I understand that the chef maybe wanted to offer pure tastes but it's too basic for a place like this and a price like this. I have no idea how they got to the silver spoon top list or why..
Atmosphere
It's beautiful. This is...
