Yesterday, my birthday evening was utterly ruined by my visit to this restaurant. I had booked a table three weeks in advance, anticipating a delightful experience in a Michelin guide-recommended establishment with my parents. However, upon being seated, we were placed right in front of the door. Concerned about getting cold, I requested a table change, only to be flatly denied, despite the restaurant being nearly empty at the time. Throughout the evening, my legs were freezing.
At around 19:00, the adjacent table filled up with a boisterous group, making it necessary for us to literally shout just to converse. I approached the waiter again, asking if we could be moved to a quieter corner away from the noise. Once more, my request was refused. Frustrated, my dad became upset, and we decided to leave without having our main course. We paid a bill of 168 euros and left, hungry and disheartened.
The staff, especially the manager, displayed rudeness and blamed us for not understanding that others were there to have fun. No solutions, apologies, or discounts were offered to remedy the situation. Our evening was completely ruined, and we ended up at Rado restaurant after all.
If you prefer not to sit in a noisy environment reminiscent of a bazaar, Irish pub, or school canteen, where shouting is necessary, I advise against visiting this restaurant. This is especially true when Art Priori, with a much better atmosphere and attentive service for every customer, is right next door.
I cannot fathom how such an experience could occur in a restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide; it certainly does not live up to the...
Read moreWe had a reservation for our wedding anniversary and do not regret coming here for a second. Service - absolutely fab. Coats were collected and put in wardrobe for us. We picked a wine and it turned out they were out of it. Sommelier had suggested an alternative that was absolute hit and served with an oomph. And they provide a stool for a handbag!!! Throughout the evening the service was attentive and overall great, even thou I broke a glass before reaching our table and made a show of myself. Food - we had a three course meal each and ordered from the menu. We had heirloom tomato tartlets and forest mushroom raviolo for starters. We had stuffed calamari & risotto and entrecote as mains. For desert we had tiramisu and lemon. Photos do not do the food justice, although we tried to take some and attach to this review. Food was exquisite and presented well. It was full of flavours, delicate ingredients complimented each other well. Entrecote was cooked medium-rare (as ordered) and just wow. Lemon dessert was to die for. It was slightly sour and an extraordinary finale of our meal. Food was definitely true fine dining experience. Atmosphere - very stylish and fab restaurant. Dimmed lighting and candles on the tables made it very romantic. Overall - we would definitely recommend and would return ourselves for the fine dining experience. Would suggest to trust the staff for recommendations and just go for it. Some options may not be the cheapest, but if you are already here - you did not expect...
