An amazing contemporary art museum featuring many unique exhibits by designers — including delicately crafted glassworks by Vello Soa, ceramic dishes by Adamson-Eric, and large collection of jewelry made from precious metals and minerals. In addition to refined pieces, there are also fascinating contemporary artworks made from everyday or improvised materials — glass, scrap metal, or even an old steel hoe shaft repurposed into a machete, crafted using items found in a garbage pit near a public campfire site. The museum also showcases everyday objects from earlier eras, including the pre–World War II republic period: furniture, textile carpets, and more. The staff is highly professional and welcoming — a truly enriching...

This is a beautiful small museum located in a historic building in the old town of Tallinn. I have visited it today for the first time, the entrance was free because of the museum’s anniversary. The museum has three floors, exhibitions include (but not limited to) glass, textile, furniture. I truly enjoyed the top floor showing examples of modern and ancient Estonian furniture. I also liked the idea of additional double-floor wooden constructions for exhibitions on the second floor. Also, the museum has a very cozy inner yard with benches and tables, sadly no coffee is served :) Overall, the place is small, you spend here at most an hour. I think it was totally worth...

I have got the museum card which allows me to visit museums all over Estonia. This museum has been on my list for too long and I finally went there. This is a great museum for art lovers. It is located in the heart of Old Town. Looks small outside but it is rather spacious inside. I liked the fact that it was open on Sunday until 6PM. The exhibitions are attractive and you can literally look at them from all the angles. Amazing! There are 3 floors and the third floor is dedicated to the history of design. I enjoyed it because I am a millenial and I found many things which reminded me of my childhood. I recommend it to everyone. The fee is 8 EUR but it...

This museum is a hidden gem. The main collection houses furniture, textiles, ceramics, glass, jewelry and more, mainly from the 20th century. Estonia has a very impressive wealth of artists and designers in the decorative arts, most of whom were previously unknown to me, so I found it very educational. On a summer day when the city was influxed by cruise ship visitors, this museum remained quiet and we practically had the place to ourselves. Highly recommend a stop here for lovers of design.
