We were really looking forward to our next culinary journey at Rado, which unfortunately turned into despair. First of all our reservation was poorly recorded. Secondly the answer for the question how a food is prepared or what side it served with was: I don’t know, some veggies. These veggies was actually 4 asparagus. Serving 2 starter (beef tartare which was actually very tasty) and a raw cauliflower with parmesan hollandaise-parmesan sauce took almost an hour to serve (due to covid the restaurant is never full) the main dish (only one) which was also a medium steak with the famous asparagus mentioned before took an other 45 minutes and arrived cold. The dessert took an other 20 minutes for the restaurant to serve. The stuff was also having hard time to clean the table as we were facing with our dirty plates for long minutes. In general the food is OK but nothing special. The service is definitely below the line what is advertised about...
Read moreIncredible restaurant. My favorite for a treat in Tallinn. The setting is lovely and in a great location in the Old Town. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and will do everything possible to enhance your experience! One visit we were recommended wine to pair with the meal, we ordered 3 bottles for the group and she came back 10mins later and was out of breath. Turns out they had run out of the particular wine, so she ran to another nearby restaurant where they lent her some bottles! As for food! Wow what and experience. I have always been with a group of around 8 people. The food is served to be shared which really adds to the social experience. The quality and variety is wonderful and each time I have been, I have tried something I have never eaten before. Flavours are amazing and the style is modern local (Baltic/Nordic) style. I feel the chef and restaurant should be awarded a Michelin star. Really unique and...
Read moreWe were visiting for a weekend, and decided to check this reputable restaurant. Service was hospitable and warm at the outset; we were greeted and quickly sat by a lady who served us the entire evening.
Now on to food: spectacular! We had the chicory with goat cheese — simple fresh ingredients, marinated and sauced superbly, the combination of flavors was well- balanced and indeed woke up our sleepy palette. Mains were also spectacular! Estonian salmon was masterfully cooked and seasoned to perfection. And the best of the night, for us, was the risotto. Homely, yet exciting in terms of the earthiness of mushrooms with the layers of cheese, grains were separated yet moderately soft to the bite. Finally the apple tartin was our dessert. Good crunch, savoury notes from the pastry and juicy sweet mascerated apples. A throughly enjoyable finish to a fantastic meal.
We are so happy to have...
