I would NEVER eat or recommend someone to eat at Troika. The service was very unprofessional, we were shown so much attitude and while ordering food, my husband ordered a starter and a main course while I only ordered a main course but when the food came the his starter and my main course were the ones served. We had to ask about his food since we are not used to the food being served separately, we ended up asking one of the workers there and his reply was “ I am not a waiter” and then he left and then later I he came back and said he is only serving what he has been given, we then tried explaining to him about it since normally restaurants start by serving starters and then main course or in other cases they can serve all at once but in this case I ended up eating my main course and he had his starter and we had to wait for another 30min for his main course to get ready.and the supervisor in charge was not happy about us asking about our food and she never even asked if the food was good or not, instead she walked in every table around us to ask them how the food was and if they need anything more but with us she just passed us with a very Angy and Agitated look. I also called her to add one more drink and she was so annoyed to serve us as if she did not want us there one second longer. And after everyone around us was done eating, paid and left surprisingly everyone working there also left leaving us alone there and we were the one to look for them for almost half an hour just to pay...

I didn't like it. Overpriced. Portions are small. We were siting outside on a terass, It doesn't look like a restaurant, more like a cafe. Our server was very nice and helped us to make our food choice. Although when we wanted to try something special - beaver meet - they didn't have it. My mom ordered fried salmon - besides fish you will get 1/4 of a potato 1/2 of a carrot, and 2 small pieces of cauliflower. Mom mother wasn't full after that meal. I can't imagine if a men can satisfy his appetite with this dish. It was dry and nothing extraordinary. For my self I ordered Pork Chop with mushroom sauce and apple. Meet was good, sauce also. On a picture you can also see 2 small potato veggies and 5 small tomatos. My son ordered lamb, it was raw, and he couldn't bite it or chew it. Well, his plate was full of vegetables, salad and onions - so all three of us were "tasting" his side dish! Portion size it was ok, but he could not eat meet and left on a plate small place to show to our server, that it was raw. She never came to us to check about our food. She was just standing on a side till we called her and ask for a bill. We didn't complain but we showed her raw meet. She replayed - "I see what I can do" and returned with a full check of 75.- euro for this dinner. I will not comeback there and NOT recommended to my friends. Negative experience, we were expecting more for this money and from a "THE best Russian restaurant in Tallinn" like it says on...

A Taste of Russia at Tallinn's Troika

Stepping into Tallinn's bustling Old Town, my wife and I found ourselves spoiled for choice among the many enticing restaurants. With no St. Petersburg on our itinerary due to the current political climate, we decided to embrace a taste of Russia right here in Estonia, unanimously opting for Troika restaurant. Our initial thought was to admire the interior, a decision we quickly realized might have been a misstep; a quick peek would have sufficed before settling into the lively outdoor seating. Instead, we were shown to a table at the very back, near the bar, the sole occupants of the indoor dining area. The quiet was only punctuated by the unexpected sight of two gentlemen installing a television – perhaps not ideal timing, but with no other diners to disturb, it was a minor oddity. To start, we ordered the marinated wild mushrooms and the "village style dumplings." The mushrooms were certainly an unusual experience; their preparation, whether pickled or otherwise, remained a mystery, as there was no one readily available to inquire. The dumplings, however, were a highlight – very good and definitely recommended. While the ambiance wasn't quite what I had envisioned, our experience at Troika was nonetheless decent. For those seeking a unique culinary adventure in Tallinn's Old Town, Troika offers a glimpse into Russian flavors, particularly with their...

Disappointing experience — poor quality food and unprofessional attitude I had dinner at Troika and was truly disappointed. I ordered a meat platter, and the pork (buzhenina) served was gray in color and had an unpleasant, off-putting taste. It looked unappetizing and was clearly of poor quality. What made the situation worse was the staff’s refusal to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with the dish, even though it was obviously not fresh. There was no apology, just a cold and dismissive attitude. Eventually, they did not charge for the dish, but the experience left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this restaurant. With so many great places to eat in Tallinn, this one stands out for the wrong reasons.

✅ Klimatyczne wnętrze – drewniane stoły, ciepłe światło świec, a na ścianach mnóstwo przedmiotów związanych z kulturą rosyjską – bałałajki, samowary i tradycyjne matrioszki. Podsumowując – Restaurant Troika to miejsce, do którego warto zajrzeć, jeśli chcecie spróbować rosyjskiej kuchni w wyjątkowym klimacie. 🍲🎶
