My wife and daughter went to this restaurant with her friends before. However, they found that the service in this restaurant was very poor So bad. They are like your boss , not service to you , looks like you service for them. My wife ordered MANTI (Usbeki Mantõ lambalihaga 5tk), Pilaf and kebab for herself and our daughter
However, after paying, she saw that the plate brought by the waiter only had 1 MANTI, but the price she paid for was 5 MANTI. There were also 5 MANTI in the menu. The Pilaf was cold and hard, just like it was taken out of the fridge. At that time, my wife told the waiter that what she got Manti was different from the order and picture. Why were there 5 MANTIs in the picture? However, what she paid was the 5 MANTIs. However, the waiter said that you did not make it clear whether you wanted to buy 5 MANTIs or 1 MANTI . MANTI, these words can make people speechless, because the menu clearly states that the price is the price of 5 MANTI. The waiter doesnt care is it ture or not, doesnt care are they right or wrong , they just lying and in their mind customers should shut up and leave. Looks like customers paid and got grandma from here. Because you can clearly see they gave feel like they doesnt like or doesnt welcome customers. To be honest, I like UZBEK FOODS very much, and I don't want this restaurant to give others a disgusting feeling because of some service reasons. I will visit Estonia again in the next few days and will take my family to visit your restaurant. If I find this kind of deception again I will report your restaurant directly. I really hope you can improve your service. Thx and have...
Read moresamsa family bakers is an uzbekistan restaurant located in the balti jamma turg market (a very modern and hip food market with produce, shops, and food stalls). they have a main restaurant with seating as well as another stand that serves takeout samsa.
the prices seem to have gone up since i looked at other reviews.
// beef cheburek (6 euros) // we ordered the cheburek over the samsa because it was made fresh. it came out hot, large portion, comes with salsa and sour cream.
main downside is that it was very, very oily. we had to soak up some oil with napkins but instead still tasted oily. outside is a thin fried dough which is crunchy. inside there is beef filling but was not very flavorful. overall, good to try but nothing memorable and we are glad we only got one to share. in hindsight, i think the pilaf or langman...
Read moreAmazing place, amazing food. Their address is not the one listed on google, it is at Kopli 1, 10149 Tallinn, and they sell Uzbek food. Their lagman (some sort of handmade noodles??) and their tsuburek was so so good. The noodles were bouncy, the soup smooth and delightful with crunch bits of vegetables and onions. The tsuburek is some kind of flaky puff, and it is HUGE (think subway footlong size, just that it is flat). I bought the beef one, eat it with the sourcream and spice mix they provide, and be blown away by how the flavours blend together beautifully. Will be coming back for more, to try the pilaf(rice dish that is only available after 11.30am), really glad that I didn't give up on finding them after the wrong google listed address.
Total damage: 3.5 € for the Tsuburek, 7.5€...
