Very disappointing experience. We choose Cobuqa to spend a Saturday night with my husband and daughter enjoying some Mexican inspired food after checking the reviews here in Google. When we arrived we were welcomed by a lovely waitress, in a lovely cosy place. However, we were surprised that a Saturday evening about 7.30 pm the restaurant was totally empty. The music was on to some West African beats, we requested to switch on TV, but it was not working. The waitress gave us the menu accompanied with the kind of post-it notes where you can order tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas with different kinds of fillings and toppings. We choose some and filled the note, but when we ordered, the waitress announced that they had no "tortilla" this evening, you can probably already imagine my face when told that in a Mexican restaurant where 80% of the menu was about tortilla... they didn'thave any tortilla, no tacos, no burritos, no quesadillas, no enchiladas... what we came for!! I was really surprised and I would have leave the restaurant at that point if it was not a bit late and I was with my toddler. No information in advance, no apologies. We finally ordered 2 burgers, one tijuana and one chicken. It was poor burgers. Chicken was dry, bread bun too, the tijuana was better but nothing exceptional, fries were not crunchy at all like they rewarmed. We ordered some guacamole too, it was literally 2 spoons of guacamole... nachos were the only thing to save from this experience. It was not what we were willing to eat plus quality was poor. We ordered also a mocktel (as the alcoholic mojitos were done with VODKA, not rhum, no comment), it was strawberry mojito, sooo bad too, almost no mint, just some soft drink with very few strawberry syrup. For this fantastic meal (ironic) we paid about 2500 birr (2 guacamole, 2 burgers, 2 non alcoholic mojito, 1 beer). This was in Cobuqa, ECA Road, on...

Food is pretty good, everything prepared freshly, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.
I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here...
Read moreTook 30 mins of us sitting before I was able to get someone to help us, otherwise the food was good, only thing was we added pico and salsa to the kids quesadillas, and burritos without notice of how spicy it was. I love spicy food and it was even a bit much for us. We needed up tossing the kids food (4 meals) as it was just too much for us to save for them. Otherwise the portion sizes were good, the parking was easy in the street. We paid around 4000ETB for 5 people and 2 drinks, as well as Togo charges. Would go back again and skip the salsa and pico on any of our food, asking for it...
