Kaffihúsið — Restaurant in Tórshavn

Can be quite hard visiting this place as it closes at 6. Usually when tours end late, I walk past here and its already closed. Managed to try one day finally, though I was there around 10 minutes before closing, the staff happily allowed me to grab a bite and I promised him I'll be quick. Still quite a lot of items to choose from the display. Picked an open sandwich, seems like the popular item here, and a slice of cake and a not sure if its a grapefruit lemonade just but looking at the colour. Price was pretty decent, would say reasonable for the price considering I picked 3 items. The open sandwich was good, the salmon still pretty fresh. Probably didn't look very big but was quite filling for me. The cake and the drink was able to make me feel full. Cake was pretty good too and was recommended by the staff. Nice friendly staff and cosy environment. It was past 6pm and there were still a couple of people in the cafe but they didn't drive the people away. It's easy to both find and get to. There are so many incredible options to chose from in both food and drinks. From tea and koffie to soda and wine. A large selection of cake, baked goods and chocolate to varies food items for breakfast, brunch, dinner and luch.

All of which are reasonably priced and just above what I myself call cheep.

Theres much room and quite lively. A good place to go both in groups of 4 or in pairs. Though there are many who come alone, like myself.

The decor is slightly dark that fits well with the amout of natural light that comes from the large windows and the uniquely different patterns...

An hour-long wait for lunch, as the café ran out of plates and glasses.

They ran out because for well over an hour the three front-of-house staff (who were not particularly busy) didn't clear any of the tables inside or out.

When we were served, at least three items that were to be included with the brunch were missing, and my scrambled eggs contained multiple black spots (from being burnt).

At the table next to ours, someone's crepe was served with a long blond hair (inside the crepe).
