I saw this place being recommended in a TV program and decided to visit here when I was in Faroe Islands. It's a very small, warm, and cozy place the moment you walk in the whole place is covered with wood it gives like a sauna setting. Its owned by a young lad pretty experienced in craft beers and he came up with all the different variations. Also in the shop is his welcoming dog which is so happy and goes around the customers for pats. I didn't know what to try so asked for some recommendations, and so after asking for my preferences he recommended me quite a few and I said probably I could only handle 2 and so he asked me to try 2 and 12. 2 is the signature and 12 is another of the lighter craft beers in the house. So had 2 and really loved how light and smooth the beers were, and he could understand my preferences well to recommend those to my liking. Was a nice place to chill but started to get more crowded and noisy so I didn't stay long finished the drinks and left. Its one of the places you must try when in Tórshavn. Saw one with the same name in Copenhagen airport not sure if...
Read moreI have never spent more on a beer in my life and I brew at home. You could literally use gold dust in your brew and it would not merit a $24 single glass of Porter! The Porter uses about $1 of ingredients and even on an island there is ZERO JUSTIFICATION for the price gauging happening here! The same Owner who owns this "brewery" also has a monopoly in Torshavn with several other high end restaurants and they are all over priced. The fish is caught right there, why does it cost $100 a plate? He owns Barbara Fishhouse, and all the other fancy places that are gauging tourists. I loved the islands but found it sad only a handful are benefiting from the new tourism dollars rolling in. Avoid this overpriced beer...
Read moreThis was the first place we actually stopped at for a drink, and what a cool fee hours this was! As we walked in, we knew this was a very unique and cool spot. The bartender/server Christian was super friendly, and gave us great outputs on the beer making, as well as the islands.
He was very passionate about the beets they served there, and spoke amazing English! We truly felt like we walked into one of our family's house. The beers we tasted were delicious, especially the blue beer my wife had. We also had a side of jalapeños peanuts, which complemented the beer well. Two thumbs way up to Mikkeller, and Christian for his...
