Update: We had dinner here 3x out of our so far 8th nights. They don't miss in terms of service and food, all of the experiences were great and food yummy! I repeat ordered kokoda and snapper and have tried the salmon - it was cooked correctly and had the crispy skin and under it was like english spinach and green beans cooked in coconut milk. My hubby had beef meltique which he said was correctly cooked and he would love to have it again. Baguette was my preferred bread and my guy liked their sourdough. Don't give this place a miss! Desserts were defo yummy!!😋 Food and service were both topnotch that we decided mid dinner that we have to return. We started off with complimentary bread with three kinds of dips. The bread choices were foccacia, sourdough and baguette. I had the kokoda and my guy had the signature dish, and we both loved our choices. Kokoda is like ceviche "cooked" with coconut milk, it was a beautiful dish. Then I had snapper and my guy had the yellowfin tuna, which may sound simple, but the sauces and the sides it came with works very well together and both were cooked nicely. We did not have to add any salt or pepper into any of our dishes. Thank you guys!!!

This was a beautiful resort with really kid friendly pools and beautifully decorated throughout. We were staying at another hotel nearby and decided to walk over for lunch on the beach at Solis. We were greeted warmly by our waitress Annie and seated at a breezy table with views of the beach. Food took awhile after we ordered. I ordered their signature seafood kabobs but it was just average. 2-3 pieces of fish with a couple of shrimps and two tiny pieces of squid. We also ordered the carnivore pizza. The crust was nice but we found the pizza average as well. The wagyu burger was ordered medium but it came out well-done so that was a big disappointment. I would say that the food isn't that great and I've had better at restaurants nearby at Port Denarau. If you're there specifically for the view so maybe just come to enjoy the sunset with a nice drink from their bar Suka instead.

Had our best dinner experience here at the Sofitel Solis restaurant. Up until this place, we've been a little disappointed with our food. One friend (who is from Fiji) said that you can't compare the food in Fiji vs Melbourne. But I'm glad to say this restaurant would def pass as a good restaurant back home! Our waiters and the front of house were quite attentive and gave good suggestions (the best service we've had in Fiji for the whole trip). We tried a variety of food - Lobster Bisque, Pork Belly, Squid Ink Linguine and Salmon. If I was to be picky, I would say that the Bisque was a bit too salty, but otherwise was full of flavour! The only disappointment was the Panacotta. 100% worthy of a Bula Bus ride to here if you are looking for GOOD food in Fiji!

I've dined at Solis twice as an in-house guest and both times was disappointed by the experience. The view is beautiful and you're greeted with Fijian friendliness, but the food is average and overpriced, and the service is slow and at times non-existent.

During my first visit, the server didn't know the menu well enough, resulting in me ordering a side garden salad when the dish I ordered already included a small side salad (this was something I asked when placing my order). The salad itself contained wilted and soggy lettuce.

On my second visit, I ordered a pizza but unfortunately it wasn't cut well so it was difficult to eat (I would have liked a knife but no one came over to check on the meal) and when it was time to order another drink, I had to go to the bar to find someone. The "classic margarita" I was served was terrible, containing melted ice (not sure why it even had ice in it) and tasted watery and flavourless.

Overall, a sub-par dining experience for a "5...

I ordered the seafood plateau tonight from Solis, including raw oyster, cooked mussels, prawn, lobster, mud crab, tuna sashimi. Sitting in front of a beach front restaurant, we were expecting fresh local seafood as it’s the restaurant’s signature dish. However, when the plateau come onto the table, we found the oysters and prawn are apparently not fresh, as the oyster is cloudy, and the prawn meat is falling apart while peeling. The mud crab is especially bad, as the crab meat is already powdered and getting pink colour. Apparently the crab must has been in fridges for a while before serving. We worry the food safety, did not eat the crab and left half of the plateau unfinished. The restaurant environment is good, the servicing staff are friendly. But the food is a real disappointment. Would suggest the fresh and safety of food should come as priority as bad seafood can be...
