I had a good memory about their coffee and desserts as well as the cozy ambience. But when I went again in this time, I noticed very rude and impolite attitude of the blond woman staff. She was approaching to the solo customers either sitting alone at the 2 persons table or shared table to rush them to get out if their drinks are done. Obviously customers were leaving awkwardly.
It seemd that she doesn't understand why someone comes alone and sitting at the cafe more than 15mins.
She put her laptop next to the person who has laptop and starts to write on her laptop in a bold letter. That sign wasn't written anywhere at the cafe except on her laptop page. She was repeating this unbelivable behaviour next to each person who uses the laptop.
When I was waiting my friend at the shared table of six but sitting alone (others left frustrated or annoyed by her), She quickly took my empty cup away and sitting right next to me with her THAT latptop and started writing . I asked her if something's wrong my laptop opend here. I could open my book instead. she sayid no no no no. Then my friend finally came and joined me, she immediately left.
Of course, she came back and start to kicking other customers out by re-arranging their table and making noise around them by dragging chairs who ever finished their drinks.
This is unbelivable situation. It seems Only herself doesn't notice how all the customers feel awkward and how they finally leave the cafe.
Is this the cafe's new strategy, or just a...
Read moreWe visited Café Kaffitoria in Helsinki on August 9th, and unfortunately, our experience was mixed. To start with, the café is very cozy: the pleasant design, comfortable sofas, and tables create a great atmosphere for relaxation and socializing. Additionally, the café offers a variety of interesting products, such as coffee, coffee machines, and various accessories.
The staff was polite and friendly. The employee who served us was very welcoming and brought our order directly to the table. We ordered lattes, and while the coffee had a lovely heart-shaped design, the drink itself was disappointing. The latte was barely warm, and there was hardly any foam, making it taste more like regular coffee with milk. This was especially disappointing since we love coffee and chose this café based on the positive reviews on Google Maps.
Another downside was the lack of air conditioning. It was quite warm that day (around 22°C), and even with the door open, the café felt stuffy, which didn’t add to the comfort.
Overall, if you're looking for a place with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, Café Kaffitoria might be a good choice. However, if you’re particular about high-quality coffee, you may want to consider...
Read moreI had developed a fondness for their speciality coffee. I brought this company a lot of business by bringing and introducing friends to their cafe’s. For young students like us (16 year olds) their coffee is not very affordable but we found it worth the expense. In addition to exquisite coffee, the service from the baristas is very friendly and the female owner is warm. I won’t be critiquing the coffee but my own experience seeking employment here.
I was enthusiastic and inquired about employment possibilities in person. The male owner agreed to meet me after email correspondance suggesting a time. When I showed up five minutes early for his suggested time, he claimed I was late and the agressive manner continued throughout the entire meeting.
After the usual questions he suggested my intentions were easy money and access to fancy coffee gear, while refusing dirty work. My knowledge about coffee was questioned, along with my home espresso equipment. At my lack of expensive gear, he scoffed that I should ask my parents to provide it. I left traumatized. I will not be a frequent patron of this establishment in the future, nor will I recommend it...
