I just had the most Armenian experience outside of Armenia. Right here in Helsinki at Armenian House!
The moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. The place is beautiful and cozy, and you can immediately feel the warm Armenian hospitality.
We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and honestly, everything was so good. We had tolma, lobi soup, sudjukh, and basturma with vegetables, all super flavorful and beautifully served. The khosi khorovats was a highlight, perfectly grilled and full of flavor. And the gata with ice cream at the end? Just wow!
We even got to meet Chef Gevorg, who made sure we were having a great experience and treated us to some complimentary sweet sudjukh. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture! 🥰
Next time we are in Helsinki, this will definitely be a must-stop. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something...
Read moreThis is the first time I come to the place, and first time tasting Armenian foods. It was interesting for me, I would like to say it's more than worthy for the price, hope that Michelin guide can come here one day, the foods were so delicious, I called eggplants with sour cream for the starter then stuffed eggplants, it's more delicious than I expected. I even had to called one more dish, the pork kasler to eat, and yup it's big portion but only me ate all of 3 dishes. The chocolate cake, as a pastry chef, I'm very difficult for all dessert, but this chocolate cake was also very good, all of the layer between base cake and cream was balance perfectly, cake was moisture inside, taste not so sweet, enough for remembering the flavour. Service was very good, friendly service and thanks Nick for the...

Service was impressively quick – almost too quick at times – but that’s still far better than being left waiting.
What I found less appealing, however, was the menu itself. For me, the menu is the calling card of a restaurant. A laminated menu with pictures feels a bit cheap, more like a budget takeaway than a place of this level. It doesn’t do justice to the quality of the food and atmosphere. Updating the menu design would really elevate the overall...
